So, the food ended up being really good! But—our waitress was not knowledgeable at all and it made me a little nervous to eat. That being said, if you get to town late, there’s not too many options for gf places. This restaurant has gf buns for burgers and gf crust for pizza. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich on a gf bun. I asked if the bun is cooked on the same surface as the regular buns and the server said it’s probably cooked on the flat top with the rest of the buns. I asked for it not to be toasted. It came out toasted. She didn’t come back until after I finished the chicken breast (just took it off the bun), at which point I said that I had asked for the bun not to be toasted and wondered if I could get a new, un-toasted bun. She said the cooks heated it in a separate pan in the oven. It would have been nice to know this beforehand so I felt safe eating the sandwich but oh well! While our waitress was not knowledgeable about gf, celiac, or cross contact, the chefs seem to understand it. If you’re celiac, I would definitely speak to the manager first to make sure you’re comfortable with the food prep. I felt fine after eating here and the chicken was good.
