Excellent on all fronts- staff is well trained on all allergies. Food was great and I felt confident I would not get sick and I didn’t. Both celiac and lactose intolerant. Would highly recommend a visit. Had a grouper sandwich which was excellent. They had gluten free buns which was a plus

I just want to report they have added gf to their menu. They also offer gf bread with a extra charge. We just had a late lunch there and the grouper was delicious.

Server was able to tell me gluten free options. I got the grouper tacos in a crispy (corn) shell. It was delicious. Very casual outdoor bar atmosphere, with live band playing most times. Games for the kids or young at heart. This would be a great place to hang out and watch sports. Lots of tvs. Non celiac people also enjoyed their food.
Great place to eat ! Waitress very knowledgeable. Although no GF menu the main menu is clearly marked with GF options . Lots of atmosphere too !

Amanda was absolutely incredible. she helped with my gluten allergy, she reassured everything would be safe. She made sure to bring me the safest food. And it was bomb!! Thanks Amanda for everything!! If you have gluten allergy for celiac make sure to ask for her she will hook you up!! 🔥🔥the claims where absolutely incredible. I’d recommend the shrimp tacos. Fireeeeee.

The waiter already knew the options that were safe, the grouper tacos were outstanding! Fun atmosphere!

I’d give 5 starts because I loved that that they had GF options, nice vibe and live music. We went there few times and I loved the experience. However, some of the waiters are not very knowledgeable about cross contamination such as shared fryer. Ask and double check when ordering, just to be safe. I ate there few times and was feeling alright afterwards.

I got the pulled pork sliders on the gfree bun with mashed potatoes. Had no reaction and the staff was very nice and helpful. Next time I will bring my own chips for the chips/salsa/queso appetizer. There were other appetizers available but I don’t eat seafood.

Super busy. Gluten free food for my son came out with the rest of the food for the table. I don’t love when they do that do to possible cross contamination. Then the waiter satiated he wasn’t sure that was the gf bread which made me nervous. He came back and said he double checked but at that point I wasn’t sure....my son ate and enjoyed it but we will know tomorrow. Also, no dedicated fryer so most of the sides were out.

Great environment with live music. They have yard games that you and your kids can play while waiting. They have GF options. My son had the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious and he had no problems. I got the Cobb Salad and it’s was terrible. There was no flavor. I would recommend if you go, get one of the sandwiches.

I ordered the pulled pork slider and it was delicious! The gluten free bun was the best bun I have ever had and the pork was yummy. The staff was also friendly and knowledgable. Would definitely recommend, I have celiac and felt perfectly fine after eating there.

We stopped by for an appetizer and some drinks. I got the gluten free bruschetta and it was really good. As for the drinks...we ordered a top shelf marg and banana monkey drink and they were not good at all.

Food was overpriced and not very flavorful, the bruschetta was good but that was the highlight of the meal. Even the non-gf food wasn’t very flavorful or good (according to my family). Nice for the atmosphere and bruschetta but that’s about it.

I ordered a salad, I did not feel confident that they had dedicated grill space for meat vs bread (buns & flour tortillas).

The Ugly Grouper is a fun outdoor dining experience with live music and lively bar. They have a section of games (think giant connect four) for kids to play while you enjoy your meal. They have a large kids menu (although most of that was not gluten free) and many items on their regular menu can be made gluten free. All the items are clearly marked on the menu. They offer gluten free bread for their burgers and bruschetta. They have lots of grilled items and the grouper dinner is excellent!
They are not a dedicated kitchen so I can’t say it’s completely devoid of gluten cross contamination but the staff was knowledgeable and I didn’t have any after effects!

Whole place was empty (we we're early) when we arrived but they tried to seat us in the corner, directly in the sun, because we had kids. Waiter was knowledgeable about GF, had to run back to the kitchen to ask about fries because of their changing fries. Ordered a burger without a bun, and garlic mashed potatoes (all fries, even the sweet potato fries, were battered and NOT GF). Food was okay, everyone else said their food was really good. Host/store staff was vague and unfriendly, waiter was friendly. Daughter (not GF) ordered spaghetti and it was basically tomato sauce so waiter replaced with chicken strips, they looked yummy. (Daughter is picky) Warning: no indoor seating, wide open, so hold onto your menus and maybe wear pants and a sweatshirt if it's windy or cooler out. (They do have a few things to choose from, even ribs)
NOT GF friendly and the drinks suck! Only nice thing is the outside area with TVs.
