The Union House

A large group of friends decided to try this restaurant. I, being the only one with Celiac. Our server, Kurtis was very knowledgeable about what was safe to eat. He said their kitchen takes gluten free very seriously. I ordered a strawberry mojito, which was delicious. The menu had items that were marked gf, and some items could be modified. I ordered the shrimp tacos on corn tortillas. They were excellent. I also took the French onion soup home for dinner. Happy to say that I had no reactions We will be going back again.

They did use a separate frier, but could not guarantee fully gluten free meal. :( Food was still so good. I got potato and corn chowder with loaded tator tots (gluten free.) Little too much sour cream on the tots but other then that, it was really good. Service was awesome, the waiter was so nice. He did explain that a separate frier was used, but no guarantee on 100% gluten free. Very fun place, I liked it. :)

Food was delicious. They have a dedicated gluten fryer, which allows a lot of gf flexibility with the menu.

I had the French onion and shrimp n grits. Everything was amazing. Did not get sick.

My celiac son got the wings with sweet lime chili sauce (assured gluten free). Now throwing up three hours later. My other two boys (also celiac) had some nachos and some Caesar salad (no croutons)but mostly fries and they’re fine.

Staff had knowledge of gluten-free and celiac disease. Have eaten here 2 times with no issues. They also have rice flower coated wings of your looking for some good wings! French fries were also very delicious. Hope they bring in more options!
