Review

It pains me to write this review. I used to love this place but the treatment and utter disregard I received there about my gluten intolerance was abominable.

I ordered a GF Greek chicken salad. Easy right? It came out with a cracker on it. I asked if the cracker was GF and the waitress smiled, said “no” and took the cracker off the plate, like it would be fine somehow. That alone shocked me that she would be so bold as to just pull food off the plate in front of me.

Surprised I replied, “no, I have a gluten allergy. Can you remake it?”

She said “gotcha” and went to the kitchen. She returned about two minutes later with no apology or anything. She said, “The cook wanted me to let you know that we don’t have a GF kitchen and there’s risk of cross contamination.”

It looked like the space for the cracker was still there and they brought out the same exact salad. I tried to appeal to her humanity and say that I get horrible migraines when I get glutened and she just looked at me and said “ok” and Walker away.

You know that bad feeling you get when you know the conditions are good that you’ll be glutened? I had that in spades. I shouldn’t have eaten it but I was starving. I had a horrible reaction for two days.

Accidental cross contamination in a non- GF only restaurant I understand, but blatant lack of concern for gluten already being on a plate is negligence at minimum and wanton disregard for people’s health, especially when they say they have an allergy.

I do not recommend. The cook and at least one of the waitresses have zero regard for other people’s health.
