I had a bad Celiac episode after eating here. They assured me I’d be fine and I most certainly was not.

i ordered an acai bowl and had a long convo w the cashier about gluten allergy, and when bowl came out it had graham crackers on it and the chef had no idea it was supposed to be gluten free. probably just an issue with one member of staff but they were not very nice about accommodating. make sure to double check they understand!

My family had an excellent meal together at Thorn + Roots. There are numerous GF items, including smoothies, smoothie bowls, power bowls and salads. It is well worth the visit!

Not celiac safe. I didn’t end up ordering anything because they couldn’t prepare anything in a safe way based on the Qs I asked.
They checked if the oat milk in their smoothies was GF and let me look at the carton—doesn’t say GF anywhere on it.
They said the GF toast is made using the same knife, cutting board, and toaster as the regular bread.
The grains and greens meals could have cross contamination because they prepared ingredients are used in both Gf and wheat-containing salads.
Looks like some great options for gluten intolerant folks who aren’t sensitive, but unfortunately not for people with celiac disease! Staff was friendly and helpful.

Had some great GF avocado toast on GF bread. I have celiac disease and the staff seemed knowledgeable on what was GF and what wasn’t. I recommend for a quick brunch/lunch!
