Another amazing experience at Thurstons. Boiled lobsters and steamers. Had Prosecco as well. Great view.

We ordered a boiled lobster and a side salad. Since we cannot have soy or gluten, I requested an olive oil and vinegar dressing for my salad. I was given a container of vegetable oil which is pure soy and a container of cider vinegar. I ate the prepackaged salad plain. We had to track down some salt and then it was clumped. The lobster was OK, but the kitchen does not have a GF area and no GF menu. Kitchen is in full view and as I looked around I did fear cross contamination. You order and pay first at the door and it is a very rushed procedure. I felt that our request for GF information was not welcomed by the staff who did not appear to be educated on the cross contamination factor. No real service at table as you are given a number and a tray with your order is placed on table on the run. The view is the reason to go. If you sit outside on the water it is a picture perfect setting with the lobster boats in view. Very popular restaurant with a long line to get in, just may not be the safest for GF options.

Had amazing boiled lobster here. I am very sensitive / celiac and didn’t get sick. Great scenery. Worth a visit.
