GF bread available. I had a chicken pad Thai that was delicious. Atmosphere is worth the price!

We were there with a party of 6 ;my daughter and I both have celiacs. They basically said they could modify all their dinner entrees so they were gluten free. It was a great experience!

Meal was great, good amount of gluten free options. I took one star off because my mashed potatoes were served with a fried taro chip on top, and the server said it is not a dedicated fryer and they couldn’t confirm if it was fried before everything else for the night or not. They did re-plate my whole meal with new potatoes, just something to be aware of if you need to ask questions! The server didn’t think about it until I pointed it out.

At the Grand Hyatt Resort and Spa
Amazing! This restaurant at the Grand Hyatt has the coolest setting. All of the staff were amazing and right away asked if we wanted gluten free rolls. There is a gluten free menu, but they can make many more of the dishes gluten free. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. Can’t wait to go back someday!

We were staying at the hotel and went here for a celebratory dinner our last night there. The beet and candied lemon salad was amazing, and I had the macnut fish (mahimahi). Yes, it is expensive. It's a resort restaurant in Hawaii. But it was very yummy, and they were conscientious about the gf and other dietary needs. The setting is so lovely too, and was a fun treat for a special occasion for sure.

AMAZING. Lots of GF options, server had a great understanding and clarified everything when he brought it out, even told me about some off menu things they could customize! I had the polenta scallops as an appetizer, they brought out gluten free bread, macadamia crusted fish for my main, and crème brûlée for dessert! Expensive, but fantastic vibe and great experience!

A cool atmosphere located at the Hyatt. My server Juan was wonderful and knowledgeable. Food is expensive but delicious. They brought GF bread out to the table, it was toasted slices so nothing special but I still appreciate the effort.

I was very excited to eat here and thought it was overpriced for the quality of what we got. I’m not picky by any stretch, but my fish was over cooked and tough, and the flavor profiles did not mesh well. The food was very heavy, even the seafood.
When the bread for the table was not gluten free the waiter insisted on bringing an alternative, and I was given full slices of toasted sandwich bread, which was really weird. I feel like they are catering to maybe an older clientele that expects that sort of thing, but I would have been fine with no bread and better quality food.
The best thing we had was the spare rib appetizer, which was delicious. And I will say I felt safe eating here as well as all the other restaurants at the Grabs Hyatt. But there are better places on the island if you’re looking for a fabulous fine dining experience with fresh, delicious food.

Only has breakfast buffet here due to conference and limited availability, but they marked everything very well and had a great GF toast (with separate toaster) and muffin on separate plate in the buffet. Very safe and good options. Plus gorgeous surroundings

We had been to this hotel and this restaurant five years ago and are happy to report it is just as gluten aware and allergy safe as ever and I think the food has improved! Last time I would have said it was 'fine,' but this time it was excellent. Ate there twice (including our first night of arrival when we were exhausted) and had great, safe experiences. Lots of things labeled as gluten free on the menu so we had a place to start (son is highly allergic to wheat). We were worried about the taro chips with the poke as they have a shared fryer but they confirmed they were from another source and labeled as gluten free. The restaurant was easily and adeptly able to accommodate my son's allergies and made us feel comfortable while doing it. I had written down all the allergies when I made the reservation but I always like to hand an allergy card too--sometimes they act like I'm being silly but this time they were really appreciative as they said the way it's listed out on the reservation is hard to read whereas the card can be put right in front of the chef. My son had the poke appetizer without the furikake (possible mustard/spices) and the filet without the compound whiskey butter (weren't sure about whiskey's safety) but still was able to get the other sauce with it. Well done, would definitely recommend if you're around the Poipu area. Nice open to the outdoors restaurant surrounded by a Koi pond so fun for kids too.

Awesome food and service. They totally get gluten free. Our server Kiare was very knowledgeable and suggested substitutions. She also brought yummy gluten free bread. We loved our dinner so much we came back the following night and requested Kiare be our server.
Dinner was pricier than some other places but still reasonable by Hawaii standards for a nice meal with alcoholic drinks. We spent about $200 with tip for the 2 of us.
If they’re booked up you can sit in the comfortable bar area and order dinner. It’s first come first served and wasn’t crowded even during July 4th week. The restaurant location is beautiful too.

Great dinner while staying at Grand Hyatt. Super accommodating to GF/DF. Everything clearly marked, staff knowledgeable. My celiac son got GF bread, rice and grilled chicken. He was happy. The other food was delicious

Tidepools is pricey, but if you have Celiac, you know that being able to eat confidently at a restaurant while on vacation is priceless. The menu doesn't have a ton of dishes labeled GF, but just ask and the kitchen will adapt recipes to work. My son has Celiac and safely enjoyed a steak. The waiter even brought out GF bread for him. The best was the GF Chocolate Lava Cake they were able to make for him!

Had the best gluten free dining experience in Hawaii at Tidepools. This place is expensive but worth it for food quality and service. There are very few items marked GF on the menu, however my server Alejandro and Manager Matt told me everything could be adjusted to be gluten free. Both were so clear and knowledgeable about what I could and could not do. The food was absolutely fantastic. When we got the bill, we noticed our bottle of wine was free, as well as one of our three entrees. Fantastic experience and food!

Very knowledgeable and accommodating. Delicious food, but expensive. A wonderful splurge dinner for our family.
Had a lot of options. Food was worth every $. Best meal Ive had on Kauai.
Expensive and relatively small portions but very good and I did not get sick despite a high sensitivity. They also have gluten free bread as a starter, just ask. Highly recommend the mahi mahi.

Went here for dessert for my daughter’s birthday. We ordered the GF lava cake and told them she has celiac. Within minutes the manager came to our table and told us she could not guarantee no cross contamination on the GF lava cake and that she would not serve it to my daughter, but could do a creme brûlée or sorbet instead. Props for honesty!

Very nice restaurant and setting amongst the pools. Had the filet which was wonderful. No issues at all. They did bring warm bread and butter to our table as well.

This was the best meal I had on the island. Every bite was absolutely delicious, and the setting was beautiful. Besides the dishes marked as GF on the menu, our waiter also mentioned that others could be adapted including the current special. Yes, as other reviewers have posted this place is more expensive than others... however you will be hard pressed to find a place that matches the quality and experience. Highly recommend!
Yes
Went here on our second to last night, and SO glad that we did. The food is amazing and they give all the celiac care you’d expect from a top-notch restaurant. Thor garlic butter is delicious so I recommend asking for their GF bread (pretty sure it’s just sliced UDI’s but good nonetheless). The GF lava cake was a real treat, def the sort of dessert I miss being celiac. The only bone I have to pick with this place is that my red wine was served at room temp, which in Hawaii is WARM. Not the type to complain though so I felt with it. In the end, I will definitely return here on my next visit to the island.
Yes
Went for dessert only. Loved the GF lava cake

Excellent meal! GF items are marked on the menu, and other meals can be altered to suit your needs.
My son & I both celiacs. They had lots of GF options and are very aware. We had GF toasted Bread - my son had GF steak which was amazing. I had the Hawaiian catch. The chef adjusted both of theses options as they were not GF on the menus The warm GF chocolate lava cake is a must if you go here !

Ate there with daughter with celiac disease, You can feel safe anywhere you eat at the Grand Hyatt. Staff very knowledgeable, Chef goes through great length of making sure and have multiple layers of safety checks before food gets to you. My daughter had no issues eating anywhere at Grand Hyatt .

Excellent! The staff are super friendly and over-the-top accommodating of even multiple food allergies -- even making baked goods from scratch if they know in advance.
Excellent! Even a GF lava cake for dessert. the chef was very accommodating the waiter Les said if I want something not labeled GF, they could probably adjust the sauce or something & they did!
Very knowledgeable and caring about wheat allergy. Would definitely recommend!
Yes
Not a lot of options at all. The chicken was good. They have a flourless cake for dessert that still has flour in it, so beware.
Had a delicious GF dinner. Before my meal was served they came out with some GF bread to enjoy. What a treat, bread with my salad!!! I started my meal with a salad of baby greens and my entree was chicken breast. Delicious!! No dessert, too full!! I am Celiac and super sensitive, no problems here!!
Nice GF menu and knowledgable wait staff... Overall a great, safe, and delicious GF experience. I just wish they had a GF dessert menu!
The Mahi Mahi was excellent, and they even offer GF bread to nibble on before dinner!!
