Wheat Allergy

Review

Staff is knowledgeable about wheat containing sauces and foods. I am not celiac, just intolerant so I did not ask about cross contamination. I did not get sick eating here. Foods are not marked on the menu explicitly as gluten free but the staff knew which options do not explicitly contain gluten.

Standard Mexican fare with handmade corn tortillas available by request. Didn't get sick from chicken fajitas nor tacos al pastor.

2023: NO GLUTEN FREE ITEMS OR SAFE GUARANTEE

We went expecting them to have at least one option. The server had no knowledge of gluten free. We explained it in simple terms (I’m not celiac so cross contamination does not bother me), and she said she would check.

The meat is marinaded and pre prepped with seasoning that contains wheat flour. She said she cannot guarantee that any of the foods are gluten free. The lettuce and tomatoes are safe. Avocado salad is safe, but if you’re hungry and don’t want to pay for ingredients you can get at a corner store, steer away.

*I could have asked her to check ingredient lists, but they were incredibly busy and I was so hungry it wasn’t worth it to me.

I ordered chipotle to my table and called it a night while my family enjoyed their food next to me.
