i love tocaya, as i frequent the one in kierland with no issues.

i’ve been to the tempe one a few times but always felt a bit foggy after but thought nothing of it. then the last time i went, i was informed there is no dedicated gluten free grill space because apparently the kitchen was built too small. all other tocaya as here have a gluten free grill. i was shocked and also kind of blown away because the person informing me of this at the counter was quite rude about it. this only counts if you are getting something that goes on the grill, quesadilla, taco etc. if you have celiac DONT GO TO THIS LOCATION! go to kierland or fashion square.

— Good

Been a few times! 10/10 delicious food and very safe environment! I would recommend this to everyone! I’ve had the Pineapple Al Pastor Bowl with Chicken Tinga, the Protein Bowl with Turkey Picante, Shredded Kale & Quinoa Salad, Tocaya Salad, Cali and Birria Tacos, Guiltless Quesadilla, and the plantain chips and guacamole. I felt fine after all of them!

Great selection of gluten free. Celiac safe. My husband and I both got bowls and both were delicious. Was a little bit pricey but ingredients were fresh and tasted great. Will be back.

There are a lot of gluten free and vegan options at this restaurant. The staff was friendly and receptive when I stated that I had an allergy. I felt that the food was safe. However, for the price the food wasn’t that good and the sides were very small. The waffle churro bites were pretty greasy but it was decent food overall and I felt that it was safe.
