Went to Tommy’s after Black Friday shopping to watch the game and have some food. Waitress knew nothing about gluten-free options as she was new to work there but did everything she could to find out what was safe. A manager came over and explained that they can only say food is gluten sensitive and not free from cross contamination. The waitress checked with the chef and assured me the Turkey burger on a gf roll with salad would be safe. The order was delivered with a fry on the plate like they had all the fries and then removed them. I was so tired of it at that point that I just moved my food to a clean plate to have the meal. I didn’t get sick at all but was worried.

i havent had an issue here and the first 2 times i ate here i felt confident my food was not contaminated and completely gluten free. the most recent time i asked if a certain pizza was gf, the waitress told me she would ask the kitchen staff, she came back and told me it’s made with butter so it has gluten?? i told her gluten is not butter and she got snappy with me. i did not feel safe eating here because i felt like they did not know anything.

I used to love Tommys and felt safe eating the gf pizza or burger with a gf bun. I would explain my allergy to the servers and after a few years of eating here thinking I was safe I learned from a server that the fries are battered and not GF. Shame on them. All serves should be taught about allergies and how to correctly handle them. I don’t enjoy having a different experience dependent on my server especially when it comes to safety.

NO separate menu. When asked up front they said we have "gluten sensitive" items just ask your server. Our server had ZERO clue about gluten and what it was and refused to get me someone who did know and also did not ask the kitchen. She after several attempts said we have a "nutritional " menu you can look at. It listed allergens and we ordered nachos (said GS) but they were fried in same fryolator as other non GF items. Clearly they were marked GS because they had no gluten ingredients but that means nothing about CC. I ordered a salad with ahi tuna that was overcooked. My daughter got sushi that we knew was safe (they did have GF soy sauce.) The unknowledgable waitress did say they had GF buns and pizza crust, but otherwise refused to help much. Disappointed overall and definitely not celiac safe.

I ordered their cauliflower crust pizza and told them I was celiac. A few minutes later a young waitress came by to tell me the cauliflower crust is NOT GF so I switched to the regular gluten free crust. It is the best GF crust I had!! I genuinely thought it was cauliflower and had the waiter bring it back to the chef to make sure and the chef promised it was GF and it was! Outstanding. I will be back!

There are not many gluten free options, but I ordered the pizza and it was pretty good! They do not make it themselves, but it was better than most gf pizzas I’ve had!

Our waiter Robert was very knowledgeable about Celiac. Many GF options. Had the gf crust (on a metal tin) margarita pizza. It was very good! They also had GF buns for burgers and gf soy sauce for sushi. Their fries are cooked in a shared fryer though.

Celiac friendly?

Yes
