I’m Celiac 20+ years from out of State and found this gem on the app. I ordered takeout - and wanted to try something that was little risk for cross contact (even though I spoke with them and felt very comfortable).

I ordered the chicken pad Thai and it was delicious. I now come up this way every week so I’m looking forward to trying other meals.

My husband and I are both celiac, he is particularly sensitive, and we have been enjoying delicious gluten free meals at Tong-D for many years. One time a couple of years ago, while I was dining with non-celiac friends, a new server apparently confused an order and I had a reaction — but never before or since. Fortunately, the staff there is quite stable, so I usually see (or phone) servers I know, and I am careful to put in my gluten free order myself when eating with a group. Our celiac daughter and non-celiac son-in-law from NYC say they have better Thai food when they visit us in Barrington than what they find in the city!

Absolutely delicious! They have the most extensive gf menu i’ve seen for any asian restaurant and are very accommodating!

They say gluten free, but my husband feels sick after eating there. We suspect cross contamination.

I’m not someone who is very sensitive and I’ve never been so sick in my entire life!! Ordered from the GF menu clearly stated I was GF. I’m pretty sure it was the pork dumplings...it said GF and was on the GF menu but when I ordered it the server seemed very confused, I should’ve known better! Never again!

They have a completely separate gluten free menu online. I ordered the red coconut curry with shrimp for takeout and it was to die for!
