They do gluten free pasta for most of their dishes. We had the amatriciana and it was the best we’ve had in Rome. They don’t advertise gf on the menu but just ask the waiter and they’ll tell you what they can do.

I agree with other reviewers that the GF offerings at Tonnarello are not outstanding, especially compared to some of what is available in Rome. It’s limited to pasta and a handful of meat dishes. I would add that the atmosphere can be really fun, chaotic and like you’re right in the middle of the action in Trastevere, so from that perspective it might be worth it - my celiac husband wanted to come back for a second meal just to join the party, even if the food was so-so. They seem to understand celiac’s and practice adequate precautions to prevent cross-contamination.

Had a great meal at tonnarello. Staff was so nice and they had gluten free pasta that was very good.

The gluten free pasta was alright, and the carbonara that came with the gluten free pasta was quite eggy, but the amatriciana sauce seemed much tastier and would likely be better with the gluten free pasta. They also have many gluten free secondi dishes.

Gf options were only pasta and some of the dishes listed under secondi. Pasta was meh. Most staff were nice. Not great for dairy free options

All pasta dishes can be made gluten free. Got my meal well after the rest of the party and the pasta was very hard. Still tasty though

I went recently and was informed there was no gluten free pasta. My dish was good but I was disappointed that there was advertised gluten free but none there.

Big, popular restaurant. The pastas can be served gluten-free, not the pizzas. I don’t agree with the previous reviewers that say this is a place where they are particularly concerned with clients that have gluten allergies or intolerance. However, the food was great and the pasta al dente. And fantastic atmosphere.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating for gluten-free options. Our waitress made sure to let us know what I could and could not eat.

Great gluten free pasta and knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Very popular restaurant. Very delicious pasta dishes. They knew exactly what we could eat without gluten. The missing star is because we could only choose between three dishes.
