(Note: I’m not sensitive to cross contamination and I cannot speak to whether they’re safe for someone who is or not) I must have eaten here like 20 times over the past few years. Never had a problem. They mark their stuff and you can tell visibly if it is gf most of the time (they use pink tofu paper instead of seaweed for gf rolls). Doordashed from them tonight and ordered the same thing as always (gf trump roll). Noticed it was caked in tempura crumbs which it has never ever been in the past. I had already eaten several bites of a neighboring roll (spicy tuna) which seemed normal, but now I’m wondering if they messed up twice and used the non gf filling.

Contacted them directly. Their first response was that it had no gluten because they ‘just used oil’. We spoke to someone in the kitchen who confirmed and said it definitely had gluten and they were sorry. I understand mistakes happen, but I’ll never feel safe eating at a previously favored restaurant I felt comfortable with. Asked them to talk to their chefs and review the importance of allergen management. Sad to say I won’t be eating here again. If you choose to, make sure you’re triple checking I guess. Wish me luck.
