I’ve eaten here before with fine experience but the last time I went was so horrible I need the community to be warned. Before sitting down I talked to the hostess and manager, who informed me that the owner/manager’s son has celiac and so they were well informed on protocols (even have a separate oven for GF pizzas). I was feeling confident. Halfway through my meal, I look over to the table next to me and see a small child running over to the trash to throw up, being consoled by staff. It didn’t take long to put two and two together and realize this was said celiac son. At the end of my meal, the manager (child’s mother) asked if I was feeling okay with a concerned look, and when I said yes she said “okay good I was worried” and then proceeded to tell me that they’re knowledgeable because of her son. Well I got home and was super sick. Tried to call the restaurant to figure out what happened but no response.

My guess is this was the fault of an individual chef who prepared mine and the son’s meal. Hopefully they fix their protocols now but there is clearly a lapse in celiac knowledge. If going, stick to a salad since I had no problem with that, but even with me explicitly laying out protocols for pizza it was unsafe.
