Yes this restaurant is safe for celiacs, however, the food is overpriced and bland. The service so poor.

So I saw this on the map while visiting. I was so happy to see that they had many gluten free options. They were great with customer service while also asking me if I had an allergy or a preference. I have a preference because i am not allergic. I ordered a margarita pizza gf. The dough tasted like the typical undercooked strange aftertaste gf pizza we all know. The sauce tasted like it was Campbells tomatoe soup from the can. Little to no cheese included on the pizza. However we also got a Mediterranean salad that was delicious and gluten free.

Wonderful experience! GF is marked on the menu. I was between the Forbidden Poke, Korean noodle bowl and the Gouda Turkey burger on GF bun (all can be subbed for the bun)—went with the noodle bowl. Soooo good! All pizzas can be GF and paninis can go on GF pita.

Delicious. Got the burger with GF bun and the sweet potato hash. Super cute atmosphere. Asked if it was celiac, or just preference. Would definitely go back!

Spoke with manager and co-manager (Kevin and Thomas) who are both just lovely people. They brought out a book with ingredients for every menu item.

Restaurant has good procedures for avoiding cross contact. It is a scratch kitchen so it is possible to modify orders and remove sauces or sides that don’t work. They pulled ingredients from the fridge to avoid cc.

Incredibly we were able to have a fresh pizza safely. They cooked it in a pan in a separate area of the oven. It was a delicious thin crust.

Also ate salmon (swapping out grains), teriyaki bowl (regularly made with tamari), korean steak (with modifications).

Felt like a model for how restaurants could handle food prep to be safe and welcoming for all guests.

So good! Ate here twice during our vacation. I am a vegetarian and do not eat gluten, soy or corn. There were many options that didn’t require modifications, but they said they could modify anything. Highly recommend! Portions are big enough to share.

Wait staff and kitchen are used to dealing with allergies. I had grass fed burger with GF bun and Kale Salad Was VERY good. Even items not marked as GF can be ordered and made GF. Wait staff is knowledgeable on which items can be made gluten free even if menu doesn’t specify.

Ended up passing on my meal here. Can’t speak to celiac safety, but will say that I notified our server of corn allergy and my plate came with corn on it. Didn’t feel comfortable taking the risk at that point. My non-gf friends said that their food was average and their cocktails were good.

The food is amazing, the server was very helpful, she ensured my food wasn't cross-contaminated. I have severe allergies to gluten, dairy, artificial sweeteners. She brought me a list of the ingredients listed on the lemonade. Highly recommended.

Stopped by True Food Kitchen while vacationing in Santa Monica with our 5 yr old celiac. The waiter was very knowledgeable about celiac and I was confident in the safety of the place. He had a pizza, we had a couple of the appetizers and a pizza as well. Everything tastes delicious and my son was very happy, ate the whole thing! Highly recommend for gluten free and celiac eating!

Went here for lunch on a Saturday at noon. No wait for seating or service. Tables outdoors, under umbrellas or in the shade of the building, so nice and comfortable. All over 6 feet apart and nice and clean. We had the butternut squash soup and shrimp tacos. All tasted fantastic. The soup arrived in 5 minutes and the tacos took 35 minutes, which was a bit odd. They took care that what needed to be gluten free arrived that way and no problems occurred. Great to people watch from our seats outside.

Staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We did takeout and they made sure to put Allergy on the entire order. Food was great and my boyfriend was so happy to have gluten free pizza!

The staff was knowledgeable and super friendly except I got the pizza and tested it with my Nina tester and it came back with gluten. Always risky to get a pizza anywhere but he said there wouldn’t be any cross contamination when there was... I got a salad and it was on the house so they’re very considerate and understanding.

This restaurant probably doesn’t need any more reviews for you to go there but we were just there last week and it was wonderful. My son is our celiac so we always use him as a barometer and he loved it and felt fine. The manager said she can basically make anything on their menu gluten free so they are more than willing to take a minute and talk with you. He had the pizza and I had the fish tacos.

Incredible every time I’ve been here! Not everything is gluten free, but the staff are very knowledgeable and understand what they are doing. Food is organic and health, but amazing. Service and meals have been great at every location, definitely give it a try!

Had a great experience here. Told our waiter that my daughter is celiac. He explained that they were not totally gf so couldn't 100% guarantee no cross contamination but that they have an allergy protocol in place and would cook her pizza separately etc. He was v knowledgable and we felt confident eating there. Am usually successful here but my GF labeled chicken dish didn’t pass the Nima sensor and came back Gluten Found.

The staff was knowledgeable about cross contamination issues. The steak tacos were great! No dairy and no gluten in them. Had a sour cream replacement with coconut milk yoghurt that was awesome! Great place environmentally conscious slightly expensive but worth it.

The food was good, and they did not gluten me. Apparently they have an allergy protocol in place for many different ingredients, and are known for this. My husband and I had the summer tacos. I had the fish and he had the beef. Both were quite good, though we had to order a third plate of them as one each was not enough.

Cauliflower dish says GF but it tested positive on the Nima for gluten. Second time this happened as first time was at the Walnut Creek True Food location.
