Our server and food runners were all very knowledgeable about what was allergen friendly and explained it everytime they dropped something off! She also put an X next to the menu items that were not gluten free for me

Uchi is a top Japanese restaurant in the country! Almost their whole menu except a few items are (or can be modified) GF.

Shashimi and sushi are melt in your mouth - and even the “non fish” items (there are many) are delicious.

To top it off, they have great desserts. We had the “shortbread” and it was a great finale to the meal. Highly recommend.

I finally went to Uchi and dear goodness, why haven’t I gone sooner?? This was one of my top five meals EVER.

Our server marked up a menu for us, after consulting with the chef, showing everything I could eat. I could have so many things. Each menu item they brought out was better than the last. Their drink menu is impressive as well.

Make a reservation well in advance. If you don’t see one online, try calling. They’re very popular and I now know why.

The wait staff is very attentive, and each dish is delivered with confirmation of your dietary requirements, regardless of who delivers it. Nearly every dish can be made GF, and it's all absolutely incredible. I was super happy to learn that the Karaage dish is GF (absolutely delicious), as well as their seasonal shortcake dessert. Our go-to date night spot!

Uchi is great with gluten free. They had a lot of options for rolls and a lot of items can be modified. Great sushi with no reaction!

Almost every dish they were able to make gluten free. All of the staff was very knowledgeable and attentive on what was and what wasn’t. Not a dedicated gluten free kitchen but celiac here and did not have a reaction due to them paying such close attention
