Umi Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar

My daughter and I who both have celiac went in and I made it vary clear that we had celiac, all of our food needed to be completely gluten free. I even went through every roll telling them what could and could not go into or on it. I didn't realize until after I had taken a bite that my sushi roll had tempura flakes in it. I specifically told them not to put it on it. I ended up having a reaction. Need to be careful here I guess.

HOLY COW THIS PLACE IS THE BEST! I got gluten free chicken fried rice and I ate so much and it’s very safe!

Great hibachi and FRIED RICE! ask for the veggies grilled, because they dip everything in the deep fryer if you just get plain fried rice.

Amazing! Staff is very knowledgeable. Menu is clear on what options are safe to eat as someone with Celiac or gluten intolerance. Also have gluten free soy sauce!
