UMI Sushi

They have excellent vegetarian and gluten-free food. Some of the entrées that we enjoy are the secret garden sushi, the rice with stir fried vegetables, and the vegetable gyozas. They do have gluten-free soy sauce.

This review was meant for umi sushi in wyoming michegan on 68th Street. One of my favorite places my family and I love to eat when eating Japanese food. The staff is very accommodating and friendly never had a bad experience. If you have allergies or looking for gluten-free menu make sure you let the waitress know and she will let the kitchen know if she isn't sure she will find out for you. FYI I recommend getting the salad dressing or sauces on the side if you have allergies .I have allergies and 90 % of the foods I eat are gluten free so getting this on the side and asking, was always safer and my dining experience was always great

Be very careful when eating here because some staff are knowledgeable and some aren't. The miso soup and salad are not gluten free. Also, some rolls aren't gluten free that you would think would be. I wouldn't order any hibachi, because they don't care about cross contamination and I got very sick. A lot of sushi you can order, but just be careful and ask first.

0 stars if I could. Terrible restaurant if you have gluten allergy. Online they said they substitute but may upcharge. When requesting a substitute I was told I can take out and be charged the same but can't add anything to be up charged because they were "busy". But when I decide to leave and take my business elsewhere they magically could do the request. I am not one to leave reviews but I will NEVER be back.

Everything was absolutely delicious; their outdoor patio is so nice and they were very accommodating for my gluten allergy. Can't wait for their bar upstairs!! They're always having something new
