Went to Uovo with my colleagues for a work lunch and appreciate the service and attention to gluten-intolerance, but absolutely not recommended for someone with Celiac. They do offer gluten-free pasta, but it’s cooked in the same water as the normal pasta (which, to their credit, comes from flour from Italy which has reduced gluten content - many people are able to tolerate this flour despite gluten intolerance in the US).
Regardless, wasn’t going to chance it (though the pasta looked *great*). For gluten-free options, there was yellowtail crudo (which I ordered), an arugula and mizuna salad, and beef tartare as well as some sides (broccolini, cauliflower, mushrooms).
Crudo and broccolini were great, just wish they took a little more precaution with the pasta. They said it was more for “gluten conscious lifestyle” and definitely not to try if one has Celiac disease - appreciate the waiter for looking out.
