Urban Egg a daytime eatery

Excellent breakfast! Knowledgeable server explained about their GF pancake batter and also that they have GF English muffins. When asked about how English muffin is toasted (I had ordered the Tatum’s Avocado Toast) she explained it is toasted separately from other items. My friend ordered hash-browns and server said it is grilled separately too. She explained how she made notes to chef about allergy so precautions are taken in the kitchen. My GF food came out with a toothpick in it to mark it was GF. Menu lists GFA (gluten free option available, as described above re: pancakes and English muffins) and GF. I did not get sick and I am very sensitive celiac (I react within 30 minutes if any cross contact occurs). I look forward to returning!

Loved eating here and no bad reactions from the food. Menu is clearly marked with GF and vegan options and there are multiple to choose from. Server was knowledgeable about the available options and told me that the chef changes gloves and washes hands when there are allergies. Got the breakfast bowl with a gf English muffin and a decaf latte with almond milk. All delicious and I felt very safe.

Good food and nice atmosphere. Our waiter was the least urban guy there can be so it balanced out nice. He was gruff sounding and very direct, as we were finishing up he gave us an extra cup of the award winning gravy, we didn’t ask but had told him it was delicious. He just walked by dropped it on the table without a word. Awesome, he totally made our day!

If your looking for a GF breakfast place I highly recommend this place. I had blueberry pancakes and chai tea. So delicious we are going back again.

One of the best breakfasts I have ever had! Waiter told me that Debbie, from Debbie’s GF makes the special pancake batter. Pancakes were light and cooked perfectly. Would never know they were GF. Ingredients in menu are locally sourced. Service was amazing! He explained their process and I felt very safe.

Awesome experience! My server said the kitchen staff knows to change gloves and be mindful of surfaces and cross-contamination. The Buddha Bowl was delicious!

SUCH good gf options! I had a trio of pancakes (cinnamon swirl, blueberry strudel and pineapple) which was incredible. My friend got the gf salmon eggs Benedict (on gf English muffin) which was amazing as well!! So happy with this find!

Wow! This place is amazing. By far the best GF breakfast I’ve ever had!

I had the 3 egg omelette (I put portabella mushrooms and Gorgonzola cheese in mine), it came with hash browns, and I opted for the breakfast sausage and gf English muffin. Lastly threw the blueberry streusel pancake in for good measure. Again… wow it all tasted so good!

It’s not a dedicated facility, however our waitress knew all about it and answered all my questions. Never had any doubts as to preparation/CC. Highly recommended.

Gluten free heaven! All pancakes can be made gluten free and waiter was amazing. Understood cross contamination, explained process for grill, etc. They use a local bakery for bread option and it was seriously one of the best I’ve had in years. Definitely recommend - come hungry : )

I very much enjoyed the gluten free pancake options. I did not ask about cross contamination or anything so I’m sorry I don’t have that information. They have remodeled since I was last there and it was a Sunday brunch time when I went and it was Very loud. The rest of my group enjoyed their food. But the noise level would definitely be too much for some people.

Ordered 3 eggs with bacon, hash browns, and a side buttermilk pancake. Pancake came out with Gf label and server Tori confirmed the hash browns and bacon would be celiac safe before I ordered. Ordering with knowledgeable staff makes it so much easier to trust that cross contact is minimized. Everything was delicious. Menu had GFA label for a lot of items.

This place is very aware about celiac and they asked if I had any allergies which is really nice. I got breakfast tacos and it was so good. I will want to try the pancakes next time! I didn’t get glutened.

Pretty good food and gf clearly labeled. We got the gourmet pancake flight with a strawberry cheesecake (only ok), blueberry something (a little better than the cheesecake), and Hawaiian which was the best by far. The gf pancake base was one of the better ones I’ve had so I bet the classic buttermilk would be great! We also tried the corned beef hash with a gf English muffin on the side. The corned beef was awesome - the jalapeno bacon jam on top was incredible!!- , hash browns delicious, but the English muffin was… almost inedible. I hate to be that harsh but I’m pretty forgiving of gf breads and this one was just not good. I’d definitely go back to try other menu items!
