I was really hopeful their GF pizza would be okay since I had called and talked with a manager, who explained that GF pizzas have a special wood board they’re cooked on. I should have been skeptical since I know wood is almost impossible to get “clean” of gluten if it’s been used with regular flour. Pizza tasted great but I got sick. Twice, since I saved my leftovers and ate them the next day since I thought something else glutened me. :(

I was really disappointed because I had recently gone to the Vermont Tap House in Williston, VT which has an almost identical menu but different owners. The Williston location was very gluten free friendly. The Rutland location was not. They have gluten free crusts (medium size only) but bake them in the wood fires oven along with their regular pizzas. They do not have s dedicated fryer. I had to order a salad, which was ok. The staff were very friendly and tried to be accommodating, but I won’t be going back. It’s too bad because Rutland doesn’t have many gluten free options.

Staff does not have a clue about what real GF actually is. When we asked the staff a few questions to confirm their level of GF knowledge they were clueless. Due to this, we left before eating anything. Be very careful here.

I only go for pizza and the Pizza is amazing!!
My husband and I shared a buffalo chicken GF pizza. It’s only available in medium so clearly they don’t make the crust there. But we both enjoyed it very much. I just wish that had some GF beer to wash it down 🍕🍺
Local ingredients. Really good pizza.
