Lots of GF options but we felt the quality of the food was low especially since it came out of the kitchen like 3 minutes after we ordered. Things were somehow cold. Maybe reheated. Disappointed based on the glowing reviews.

Great locals place. Ate breakfast here twice in 4 days. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Tried the Johnnycakes (good but not a fan of buckwheat) and GF French toast. They make it on a separate part of the grill. Great bacon. Didn’t get here for lunch but will on the next trip to Paso.

Love this place! It is so rare to be able to get gluten free pancakes and know they are safe. Vic’s Cafe has gluten-free Johnny cakes that are absolutely delicious. I have eaten here twice and no problems. Highly recommend!

Went here 30 minutes before close and the staff was still so accommodating. They have dedicated cooking surfaces and even a dedicated toaster. No reaction from this sensitive celiac!

Very knowledgeable about celiacs. Server said one of the owners has celiac and educates staff about cross contamination. Gluten-free food are marked on the menu. They also had gluten-free chocolate chip cookies.

100% Celiac friendly with a TON of options! The owner has celiac and fully understands, staff is trained. Old-school diner. Great menu! Deep fryer not GF but hash browns are GF and made separately.

This was the best breakfast ever! The owner is celiac and employees are very well trained. They also handle many other food allergies too! PS the hash browns were just like I remember before diagnosis!

Very good experience! The staff was helpful and giving good information. For example: they have a dedicated gf toaster on the other side of the kitchen, the grill is gf, but the fryer is not. The food was good. Big portions, but you could take the leftovers home.

GF toast from Edna’s Bakery in San Luis Obispo. Large size toast that was soft and tasted like non gf bread. Brought with butter on the side so no cross contamination. Went for breakfast but when we saw GF naan on the menu, we were quick to order that. GF naan was AMAZING—soft, chewy, fluffy. GF cornbread on menu but we didn’t order. We enjoyed a delicious “train wreck”—like a scramble but with hashbrowns and eggs and choice of mix ins. Hometown diner. We enjoyed listening to locals chatting it up with one another across other tables. Delicious breakfast food. No sickness from CC.

Went for breakfast. Got the Johnny cakes (gf pancakes with buckwheat, corn and rice flours), bacon and potatoes. I asked if the preparation for the potatoes were gf, server said yes. When they came there were deep fried. Server told me it was a shared fryer. I didn’t eat them. The server then told me, after they were already placed in front of me, she can’t guarantee the pancakes are not cross contaminated as they’re made on the same grill. I did eat some of those and the bacon. I didn’t get sick. However the pancakes tasted like peppers and onions from the grill and weren’t cooked enough in the middle. The texture of the pancakes was also not great. Based on the food alone, I would not return for breakfast. I would give lunch/dinner a try because they have gf bread. The service was good.

Good food and good atmosphere. Busy but not a bad wait on a Saturday
They have gluten free cookies, pies, toast, and hamburger buns with a separate area to cook each. The owner has Celiac so everyone is very careful

Great diner. Super friendly staff. Owner has celiac so they know what they are doing. Separate flat top for no X-contam.

Knowledgable staff. We had no problems with the food. There were a good amount of gf options. The wait for the food was a little longer than we expected, but the service was really good.

Our server wasn't interested in helping us and said they have gf toast and that's it. We left.

Had a wonderful grilled roast beef and cheese sandwich on outstanding GF bread from a local dedicated bakery. Hamburger buns were also an option. French fries are not a dedicated fryer but homemade potato salad and coleslaw were both excellent. Knowledge staff. We'll be back next time we pass through town.
knowledgeable staff, very attentive great burger!!!
