Ordered the GF chicken Parmesan. Chicken was good, however, the gf pasta was chewy and I did not care for their red sauce. I was disappointed in my meal. My husband ordered the Italian beef and he said it was very good.

I was sick before I left the restaurant. 😔I ordered the seafood dish from the GF menu. So, there must have been cross contamination somehow.

Separate GF menu so I’m not sure why it’s marked that way. Had the delicious chicken parmesan with GF pasta. Nice people. Beautiful restaurant.

Pasta was great, they had a separate menu HOWEVER the house salad they brought to the table apparently was not GF and she caught it right before I ate it, the dessert they told me about was supposed to be flourless and it definitely was not. 6 hours of vomiting and I will stick with Fried Green Tomatoes next time (I am VERY gluten intolerant, causes vertigo and vomiting for an extended about of time)

I was extremely impressed the entire time I was at the restaurant. I double checked at the host stand when I put my name in and the host assured me there was a gluten free menu. When my table was ready, the host remembered I wanted a gluten free menu which was great! The menu had several options, which I appreciated, and it felt like the staff was all very knowledgeable about the gluten free options. My food came out great and my server even made sure to say it was the "gluten free" item. Definitely going back next time I am in Galena!

After calling and being told that they take all the precautionary measures for cross-contamination that I asked about, my family and I went there and ordered. Just to make sure, we tested the food with our NIMA (gluten detecting sensor for those who don’t know) and EVERYTHING came back gluten. That food would have made me sick for weeks. If that weren’t enough, we told the waiter and manager and they just said sorry and still wanted us to pay for the food. Unacceptable.

I called ahead because they do list a gluten free menu on their site. I wanted to find out more about their protocols. They said that they cook all the gluten free to order so it's all fresh and safe. She said if you come when they are not busy (we went on a monday day night for my birthday) they can be a lot more careful with cross contact. When they are busy it gets a little harder. I spoke with the manager. And he assured me to talk to my server and they would treat me well. I felt comfortable! Server was amazing. He even asked about bringing bread to the table and if I wanted that or not. Food was amazing! Definitely will reccomended

We had a great meal there. Our celiac daughter had the penne olio, which she loved. They were aware of cross-contamination and even brought a separately prepared small container of safe “house prepared” salad dressing. Spumoni for dessert! Us non-GF eaters loved our meal as well.

Very small GF menu, but the food was not good. Nobody liked the food even the gluten eaters.

Seperate gf menu. I ordered the gf penne bake. It did not make me sick. It was yummy for the most part. The noodles were undercooked more than I like. It came with a salad, which was very good. No gf bread :-(

Separate GF menu. We shared 3 of the gf pasta dishes so the person with us w celiac would have choices too. All were excellent. Staff seemed careful.

I had the chicken parmigiana. It was okay, nothing special in my opinion. Flavor and appearance was okay. Service was okay. Didn’t get GF bread, nor did he bring a separate salad. He just said he made sure there were no croutons instead. Server said there was no GF dessert that evening. I don’t know if I would necessarily return next time I’m in the area.

Got the penne olio, very delicious!

Delicious chicken Parmesan and dinner salad. Our server was delightful and even put in a word about the need for gluten free bread. She recommended the chocolate Nutella tort and it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere and aervice.

I thought the service was great and the gluten free menu had many choices.

The waitress said the pasta is cooked separately from gluten water and said it is actually steamed.

I ordered a chicken dish with penne pasta. flavorful and it was filling for lunch. I was hoping for a meal without pasta but that wasn't on the menu.

I became terribly sick minutes after my first bite. Don't eat here! Besides that, the food was terribly bland and the management could care less that I was made ill. We left without paying.

Favorite restaurant by far in Galena. Have come back multiple times and have never gotten sick. Great gluten free menu and friendly staff. Chicken Parmesan is delicious!

If you're gluten free, stay far away. They prepare the gluten free pasta in the same pot of water as wheat pasta. When I asked the waitress if this was the case she confirmed they use the same pot. Gluten free means free of gluten. If a restaurant can't guarantee this, please don't advertise your place as gluten free.
