Waffle Frolic

Many menu items available and my waffle was truly fantastic (I ordered it with lemon curd and whipped cream).

I went at 2 pm on a Friday and it was very busy, which meant limited seating, limited choices, and they ran out of knives.

Great experience. Fried chicken was tasty and crispy. Waffles were great texture, and nice and large, but I wasn’t thrilled with the flavor. They had a definite “gluten free” taste to them, which I associate with sorghum, but I’m not certain that’s what it is. They do have a dedicated waffle iron, so that was nice. Leftover waffle reheated nicely too.

This is the only place I have ever found that has chicken and waffles and they were so good! I highly recommend. The place is small and has a long wait, but it's worth it!

I would’ve given it five stars except 30 minutes after my meal I got really severe diarrhea. On one hand they have amazing gluten-free choices. On the other hand I suspect something made me sick :(

Tried to eat here but they said that waffle irons are shared between gluten and gluten free waffles. NOT celiac safe.

Went here twice this past weekend. Amazing experience both times, staff is pretty helpful about food allergies. My friend is dairy free and I’m gluten free, we both didnt have problems with our food. Definitely worth a try!

Amazing GF/vegan waffles! GF items are labeled. I built my own with various toppings. They also know about allergies/celiac. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Excellent GF waffles and fried chicken!!! Such a treat and so hard to find GF. Waffle was fluffy on the inside with crisp edges. Fried chicken was great. Highly recommend!!!!

they offer gluten free but do not have a separate fryer nor do they seem too knowledgeable about gluten-free allergy. they also have syrup for the gf waffles that is not gluten free that they had no idea about.

Delicious! My whole family was able to get just what they wanted and my gluten free Celiac 3 yr old was in her glory!

I had a "Frolich" sandwich on a GF waffle. Terrific! I could have ordered another! The GF waffle is crispy and sweet with a texture that doesn't tell you it's GF! Highly recommended!

Ate here twice on a trip. Great waffles. They use a dedicated waffle maker, clearly label which toppings are gluten free, and take care to eliminate cross contamination. Each server was really clear and understanding of Celiac. Felt no trepidation. The lemon curd is excellent!

Wonderful place for breakfast! So much gluten free options, ask the staff your questions and concerns. They are very helpful paying attention to gluten free and allergies. The coffee is amazing and they will give you a to go cup when you leave. Single gluten free waffle with Belgium chocolate sauce on the side and real maple syrup is a great pick. Make sure you stop in for breakfast or lunch a must try!

DELICIOUS!!! My son with celiac disease had no problems at all. When we ordered his waffle, The gentleman asked if it was an allergy and I said it was celiac disease, so he wrote "severe" on his order.

I chose the gluten free chicken and waffles. The staff asks you if you are choosing gluten free due to allergy or preference. If you need gluten free due to allergy (as I do), they prepare the waffles separately. It takes a bit longer for the GF orders to be cooked but well worth the wait. The GF chicken batter was crispy and tasted like "real" KFC chicken. I'm a sensitive Celiac and had no reaction.

My son has celiac disease. We ate there twice for breakfast recently. In light of prior reviews we went on the earlier side and explained the importance of being careful about cross contamination. They used their separately placed dedicated GF waffle maker and were careful about cross contamination and both outings were successful. Perfect place for a kid with celiac disease who cannot always participate in the treats others are having. He loved it.

Dedicated waffle iron. Sweet and savory options are all gf including the veggie burger and fried chicken. They can make sandwiches with the waffles and open face grilled cheese.

We've eaten here twice without issue. I make sure to give an impassioned speech when ordering that my daughter has Celiac and under no circumstances can her waffle or sides come in contact with any gluten as she will get violently ill. I've been lucky enough to have wait staff that was very understanding, and even went over and showed me the separate waffle maker that is away from the others specifically for the gluten free waffles. I gave them five stars because they've been really good with us thus far, but I can see where someone could potentially get glutened; they do get very busy. I'd advise anyone with Celiac to proceed with caution here.

I don't even want to give a star...it was delicious but it wasn't because after I left I was incredible pain I told them it was a gluten allergy when I got the waffle and have been sick now for about 14 hours which if it was just cross contamination it would have been like 10 hours so I'm guessing they put some gluten into the waffle never going back again worst gluten attack in forever

The gf waffles are great!! A quick warning though.... You must explicitly state in great detail that you are not just on the trendy gluten free diet for fun. Be sure to specify that you are allergic and need all of the equipment to be gf as well. Call ahead to make sure the gf grill is on if you want a shorter wait.

When they brought my waffle out, I asked if it was all completely gluten free. The guy asked "Why? Are you celiacs?" I told him I was and he replied, "Oh, we'll make you a new one." It was delicious and I did not get glutened, but the whole experience was completely new to me.
