Good food! I have celiac so rarely eat out but i do eat at Waffles Caffe in Yakima! They take my allergy seriously! In ANY eatery i keep my eyes wide open as mistakes can be made at home or anywhere there is food served. Waffles Caffe in Yakima even puts our GF food on RED plates as yet another safety precaution. Great selection of gluten free waffles with a dedicated waffle iron and grill space. Hash browns were also very good. Came with a big group and they brought my food out separately and confirmed it is gluten free.

Edit: returned and had another great experience. Simply mentioned celiac disease and the server was like “say no more, I gotchu.” They have a separate area for GF items in the kitchen and GF food comes out on red plates. Sausage links are deep fried in a shared frier, but sausage patties are safe. Once again, the hashbrowns are excellent!

Great experience, they checked with each person at the table after I said we needed gluten-free and made sure all their needs were met. The waitress said they only serve gluten-free on red plates. If it doesn’t come on a red plate then you should definitely talk to the staff, amazing gluten-free waffle and they have a separate side of the grill that they keep for gluten-free.

Amazing! Waffles, pancakes, hash browns, bacon, eggs, gluten free toast! We had all of this and they even brought separate syrup in containers to make sure we didn’t have cross contamination! If you get there before 9 am there is no wait, from 9-12 there is a 1 hour wait! Delicious and FAST! In and out in 20 minutes on a Saturday morning!

Very friendly staff and they made sure my meal was safe to eat. Their menu is not up to date, but most items are gluten free with modifications. Just ask!!!! They will accommodate.

Dedicated waffle iron! Really good waffle loaded with lots of toppings. Didn’t ask about any of the other options. Busy old classic diner which made me a little nervous, but server understood and I felt fine afterwards!

Ordered a plain gf waffle, bacon, and an egg. Got pretty sick for days. My guess is the waffle was not gf. Too bad. Really wanted to like the place. The bacon was perfectly done, same with the egg. All the staff were very friendly and service was very efficient.

Really nice and friendly staff. Had the meat lovers skillet with gf toast. The staff will advise what you can or can not have. Also, the French toast and waffles can be made gf!

The staff was very knowledgeable about gluten free options; even some of their waiters are gluten free also! I was informed they make their gf waffles in a dedicated waffle maker. They also offer gf toast, fried in a pan not in a contaminated toaster!! They also have Earth Balance “butter” if you’re dairy free! No sausage links as they are in the fryer, but you can have the sausage patties. I was very impressed. I ordered the “Iron Woman” and subbed pancakes for the waffle. So it came with a giant gf pancake, 1 egg, big serving of hash browns, 2 pieces of gf toast, bacon, and sausage. So. Much. Food. I ate it all and had such a full tummy. We’ll definitely be back!

This place was alright. Nothing fancy for taste, just your basic diner breakfast but of course was great because I could actually get a waffle! Very busy at 10am on Sunday morning. Got the berries covered waffle with whipped cream with a side of eggs and bacon. They only have one dedicated waffle maker for GF waffles, so you might need to wait a few extra minutes. Staff was knowledgeable about my needs and food came on red plates to mark that it was GF. It is a shared kitchen and they do their best to keep food separate / clean shared spaces.

Yep, in the middle of nowhere Yakima is this haven of a breakfast cafe. You must stop here!

Thanks to find me gluten we stumbled upon this restaurant. It's like a hole in the wall but very yummy food. Staff was friendly. I had a gluten free waffle that was super yummy. They even brought separate syrup so as to not be contaminated. Will definitely be back the next time we are through the area!

Never have I been to a combined gluten/gluten free place that was this prepared to take care of me. They were incredible. had dairy free options for my daughter and egg free options for me. LOVED IT!

Amazing! The first time I've eaten at a diner and felt totally safe! They have a dedicated waffle iron just for making gf waffles and bring them out on a colored plate so you know you got the right one. I had the waffle covered in bacon and ham and it was glorious!

Gluten free and dairy free options. Dairy free options are marked by a star on the allergen menu. GF food is also served on colored plates. The waffle was amazing! The ham steak was good and the eggs were okay. They also have gluten free pancakes. One of the options is piggy pancakes which are pancakes stuffed with bacon, ham, or sausage.

Amazing, celiac friendly doesn't even describe the care and attention I received. And then there is the food, wow, I've never seen a gluten free waffle as giant and fluffy. My non celiac husband was blown away by his food as well (a massive ommlett with a side biscuits and gravy) Highly recommend this place. If ever in Yakima again I will be back to this place for sure.

Don't let this diner fool you, they do gluten free right! You know you're in the right place when they bring out separate syrup that hasn't been cross contaminated! The gf waffles were delicious. The fruit topping was a little cold and the hash browns I ordered could have been crispier (lost a star there). All in all a great experience!

Great food! Great service! I had a limited time for lunch during a training and I was able to keep to my schedule and have good gluten free food.

This is a must eat here place! I am a highly sensitive Celiac and do not eat out much because I get cross contaminated so easily. But we were passing through Yakima and saw this restaurant as an option and decided it was worth a try. It was so good that my Gluten Intolerant daughter wants to go on vacation to Yakima just so we could eat there 3 times a day. The waiter was so awesome and knowledgable. He told us that several of the waitresses are gluten free and that they make sure everything gets cooked and prepared correctly. You can order pretty much anything on the menu and they will accommodate you. It has been so long sense I could order off the menu I didn't know what to do! I HIGHLY recommend this establishment!

We went here for my Birthday Breakfast. I ordered the gluten free French toast with cream cheese and raspberries. It was massive, and enjoyable. I suppose my only complaint is whatever my French toast was fried in, was REALLY salty, but the flavor didn't affect the rest of the dish, only the top and bottom. They were very busy, but that's a good thing. That means they know how to make food that pleases their customers. Our waitress was overwhelmed for the morning, so I wasn't going to complain. I'd go back, probably try the waffles.
