Review of Waraku Japanese Restaurant

I was hesitant to try another sushi place since I tried Samurai (down the street) and got really sick, but I’m so glad I went here! The manager heard me placing my to-go order for sushi and he told me that they could cook my fried rice separately and with gluten free soy sauce. He also said they can make almost everything gluten free but he understands some people are bothered by cross contamination. My husband and I got the salmon roll, Philly roll, spicy salmon and fried rice and I didn’t have a reaction.

*update: I have been back two more times since this review and the amazing manager I once talked to is no longer there. Instead there is a guy who is RUDE and doesn’t understand how bad gluten is for people with celiac. I’ve had tempura put in the sushi when ask for it not to be and I’ve been ignored about the rice. When I apologized he said “yea, whatever, me too” and walked off. Avoid. They lost my service.
