We went to Wasabi Sushi Bar in the streets of St. Charles and had a wonderful experience. Our server, Ashley, was great. She told us that most everything can be made gluten-free if it isn’t already. If something that we wanted was fried, or had tempura in it, they could switch it to boiled/steamed instead. Their imitation crab is not gluten-free, but they substitute it out for real crab. She told us to avoid anything with eel and eel sauce, as that isn’t gluten-free. She also told us that they have a strict allergy protocol. They have a separate space and they change out all the equipment. Everything tasted wonderful, and we will be back for sure. Oh and yes, they have gluten free soy sauce. Plan to return and get the ice cream next time too!
