Washington Inn

GF items are plentiful and clearly marked on the menu, and waitstaff is well-versed on cross-contamination. I had the grilled pork chop with mango chutney. It was magnificent, and I did not get sick despite having celiac disease. It’s worth noting that the Washington Inn is THE place to go in Cape May if you’re looking for serene, unhurried fine dining. We tried several other equally pricey restaurants in town and found them to be so loud, frenzied, and overcrowded that we rushed through our meals and fled the scene. By contrast, we couldn’t have been more comfortable at the Washington Inn. Tables there are reasonably distanced from one another, the atmosphere is calming and tranquil, and the Zen-like waitstaff doesn’t hurry diners along to make way for the next party.

Very nice place, the service and food were great. They don’t have a separate GF menu but they had a few options, it’s pricey though.

Very disappointed with the food. We eat out everyday for a week and the quality of the food in Cape May and surrounding areas was excellent. We will not be wasting our money here again

Basically everything on the menu is gluten free and if they have anything that isn’t gluten free they will try to accommodate. Most gluten free desserts in 1 place i have ever seen. Staff is knowledgeable. They give you gluten free recommendations. If you are in cape may this is a 10/10 restaurant.

I had a wonderful experience here last night. Flatiron steak with potatoes au gratin and veggies were phenomenal and creme brûlée for dessert. They definitely had a nice variety of apps, entrees and desserts. I am highly sensitive and I did not get sick. Also the wine list was awesome as well!

One of the best restaurants in Cape May. Gluten free choices on the menu (many) are clearly marked. Our waitress was extremely knowledge, and the restaurant is very careful and accommodating. Highly recommend.
