My celiac daughter loves the GF options here. She ordered a gluten free waffle and loved it. Next time she said she’s going to get the pancakes

I have celiac and tried eating here three times and never made it through the meal. Has to be some serious cross contamination. Never again!

Amazing experience at Watusi. Food is awesome. Staff is very knowledgeable. Plenty of GF options, pancakes, bagels, bread. Waffles are listed as gf, but use the same waffle maker. They clean it before making GF waffles. We were notified of this by our waitress which was much appreciated! Will definitely return on our next trip to HHI

The good: fresh coffee nice scrambled eggs.
The waitress was knowledgeable and told me not to get the waffles as they would have cross contamination.
The bad: I got the pancakes and they had a weird after taste. I only ate 1/2 out of 2 large pancakes. I couldn’t eat it, it was just too strange.

I was going to order the gf waffles but the waitress informed me that they do not have a separate waffle iron and they wouldn’t be safe for someone with celiac. She suggested I order the gf pancakes instead since they make them on a separate pan to avoid cross contamination. I appreciated how knowledgeable she was. I had no issues here and would go back.

Wonderful selection of gluten free menu options. Pancakes, waffles, English muffins, eggs Benedict, etc. most restaurants have gluten free foods that are inherently gluten free (fruits, veggies, etc... it was nice to have fun options. Highly recommended!

Tons of gluten free options! You can even get gluten free English muffins and gluten free bagels.
Great patio seating. Something on the menu for everyone - pleases everyone in our family which is hard.

Staff was knowledgeable and the food was great! I had pancakes and sausage patties. They made a note of my allergy and told the kitchen. Didn’t get sick!

Very knowledgeable server. Excellent food.

So yummy! I got a gluten free waffle with berries which was big and fluffy! Long wait but super yummy!
Staff is very knowledgeable in allergies and CC. I had a delicious sandwich on a GF bun. They use only Boars Head meat, GF certified. Loved it and came several times on our trip!
Loved eating here this morning. Amazing coffee, fresh cut fruit with watermelon, blueberries, cantaloupe, strawberries and pineapple. Delish egg white omelette loaded with the veggie and meats we chose, not sparing at all... so much flavor! The hash browns were crisp and flavorful.
BEST part and amazing find for someone Gluten Free... the waffle was TO DIE FOR!!! Even my husband who hates gluten free anything loved it! It’s not recommended for anyone with celiac as it has a small chance of cross batter contamination.
The biscuits and gravy were a win with two people in our party. As were the steaks and eggs Benedict.
The kids French toast with bacon was gobbled up before I got to taste test, but that’s a sign in itself.
The service was wonderful and I’d recommend it to anyone in the area... just wish we had found it earlier in the trip... we would’ve easily eaten there every day without hesitation.
Our waitress was so sweet and caring about making sure my daughter’s celiac needs where met! Udi’s bread which is just ok, but super fresh sandwich ingredients!!

Lots of GF options and knowledgeable about cross contamination. Very cute ambiance and nice staff.

Awesome food and nice selection of gluten-free options. So refreshing when the waitress knows all about gluten and can explain menu options in detail without getting help.
Delicious GF and non dairy options but service was very slow!
My daughter really enjoyed her breakfast here. They are aware of all allergies and could accommodate both her gluten and dairy allergy. They have gluten free pancakes (although we didn’t get these due to the dairy). They also have dairy free smoothies. It worked out well for our family. I would go back for sure
I had an Extraordinary” Breakfast! Yes I said that, and due to being both gluten and lactose free eating out is not always a treat as it is for others! Often it ends up being an expensive embarrassment when you explain your allergies; and still your meal is wrong or has to be sent back and fixed. You will not experience that here!! They , were so patient and I was torn , as there were actually so many Gluten free options. Lisa the waitress suggested pancakes with fresh fruit, I had to laugh, I’d stopped by to check them out the day before, and foolishly went to a place I’d been to a year ago. I ended up regretting it. Yesterday my pancakes tasted like cardboard at another place. Today; as promised Watusi Cafe was absolutely Devine ! My pancakes were “perfect” I haven’t enjoyed pancakes so much in years!!! They were served piping hot and stayed hot as I ate them. I had “fresh” blue berries and strawberries not only infused throughout my pancakes, but on top too. I asked for low cal syrup walk! I asked for lactose free milk and given not only choice of almond milk, but coca it milk too. And coffee was Magnificent too. Choice of light roast or dark roast. Only thing, missing for me, I like my coffee with lactose free milk. I ate way more than usual, food that delicious! And when waitress gave it to go she even put a light syrup to go in the box. Felling so blessed and content. And no tummyache🌈. This is a restaurant not to miss during your stay for Breakfast and lunch. Inside or outside dining. My service dog and I love 💗 outside dining and they even have a menus for our pups too? How cool 😎 is that?

This place was yummy with a nice atmosphere. My husband had a veggie sandwich on GF bread and I had eggs benedict (could have gotten GF English muffins but the kind I ordered came with lentil cakes so I just had that). Both were very good. Have GF pancakes on the breakfast menu but we didn't try them. Server was knowledgeable and helpful. We'll be going back!
Waitress was knowledgeable about GF items. Slow service. Food not hot.
Yes
Great food but incredibly slow service.
They put their gluten free English muffins in the same toaster as regular toast. Ask for it to be heated in the oven on foil. Not many celiac friendly options
No
Great GF and allergy friendly fare with a smile on the servers faces and you're treated wonderfully! Highly impressed and recommend!
Yes
Good GF sandwiches. Also they do not charge more for GF bread.
