Wegmans Erie

While I appreciate their new listing on prepared foods “contains no gluten ingredients”, I feel they need to do a bit of a better job labeling if something is knowingly cross-contaminated. I got very sick after eating sushi and was racking my brain trying to figure out what did it. It finally occurred to me that the shrimp in my sushi may have been in a shared deep fryer. I called the store to inquire and they quickly confirmed that was the case and warned me to steer clear of coconut and tempura shrimp.

Lots of clearly labeled gf hot foods...including Chinese!

All of their sushi is gluten free including the crab! Never had an issue with cross contamination there. Be cautious with the hot bar incase other patrons cross contaminate the spoons. Ive yet to take the gamble on the hot bar to see.

Everything they have has a symbol on their name brand products that says whether they are gluten free or not! I love Wegmans!:)

They sell a nice variety of gluten free foods.
