Review of Wheat's End Cafe & Bakery

Review

This place is great! It was such a treat to be able to pick up café food on my visit to Chicago. The staff was so nice and let me look through all the ingredient lists.

I really enjoyed the popover with honey butter. Sesame bagels were also good. I thought the brownies and scones were fine but prefer the ones I make at home. Fodmappers/IBS friends, be forewarned that most of the savory breads are made with onion – I was pretty sad to learn I couldn’t eat much of the menu (biscuits, sourdough, focaccia)
