I love to support local businesses so I tried the White Horse Inn not once but three times. Two out of those three trips left me very ill. My first visit didn't go very smoothly after asking for a side of broccoli with my bun-less burger because they do not have designated fryers, I got my broccoli and it was boiled in the same vat of water that they boiled pasta in... So I had pasta mixed in with my broccoli and didn't see it until it was too late. The manager was quick to get me a new meal that she supervised being made but nonetheless, I was still glutened. I returned and that same manager saw my meal was carefully prepared to avoid cross-contamination! My third visit is where if I could give a negative review, I would. I called to place a carry out order, asked for the manager who helped before and unfortunately she was out for the day. I began explaining about celiac disease and how to avoid cross-contamination when the bartender taking my order cut me off with saying, "yeah, yeah, yeah, I know about celiac." So I replied with how important it was to not cross-contaminate, only to get the same rude, cut-off response. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was greeted by the same bartender with an attitude, saying he hopes my meal was prepared "to my liking." To make light of the convo I said, "well believe me, I would much rather prefer the bun and fries but those make me sick," to which he responded, "well don't call yelling at me if you get sick." I had an off feeling about this whole ordeal but didn't know if I was being too sensitive. Well it turns out I was right and should've trusted my judgement... cause I got REALLY sick that evening with a migraine that lasted three days. So not only are they NOT Celiac friendly, but they just don't care and are rude about it. I will NEVER go back and advise all to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL if you chose to risk eating at The White Horse Inn.
