Review of Wicker Park Seafood & Sushi Bar

Great option for gluten free food in an airport! They didn’t have a separate or marked up gluten free menu, but the server assured me they could make almost any roll gluten free. The staff took care in double checking that everything in the roll I ordered was gluten free and safe from contamination, and I did not get sick eating here. They make it in sight so you can see if they change gloves, etc. However, they did serve it with ponzu sauce on the side. I asked if that was gluten free and the staff member wasn’t sure so they asked the chef who confirmed it was not. They changed it out for tamari but my advice is to just double check about the sauce they serve you when you go. Some people forget about soy sauce/ponzu sauce having gluten!
