I have been to Japanese and Thai restaurants in the past and have found many items I can still eat or modify to eat. This restaurant was difficult. I ended up choosing a few items that I was told were or could be made gluten-free by holding ingredients. They brought a roll to my table saying it was gluten free and so didn’t realize until I had eaten two pieces that they had forgotten to hold the tempura. There was no real apology nor compensation to a meal that ultimately made me ill.

I still really enjoy this restaurant, although the only thing that is gluten free is the soya sauce, which is a little disappointing even though they claim to have gluten free sushi on the menu. The servers are very knowledgeable though about what is gluten and isn't.

Steer clear if you have a severe allergy, after asking several times in person and over the phone, i was delivered sushi containing gluten and got a call back saying the seaweed salad also had gluten after i had eaten already half of it! I must have asked a total of 4 times beforehand

Staff was very friendly and outgoing. They are one of the only sushi restaurants offering gluten free soya sauce. In addition, the staff is very aware of what items on the menu contain gluten and what ones don’t
