Review of Winnie's Manayunk

Their website says gf all over the menu, then you get into the restaurant and suddenly there are only 3 items that are gf and 2 of which are salads. I had called the night before explaining I had celiac and need to know there is no cross contamination & the woman said “no problem at all, just tell your waitress”. Feeling pretty confident I did just that the next day and was told they use the same fryer for everything and make their own tortilla chips so I couldn’t even have the huevos rancheros. Basically all I could have for brunch was an omelette (not the end of the world obvi) but they admitted even that was taking a risk. If you have celiac DO NOT GO HERE. If you are simply gluten free and can handle cross contamination then you can definitely alter some of the menu items to be gf.
