Me - Wheat/Rye allergy, Boyfriend - Celiac Winnie’s is mine and my boyfriend’s favorite spot in town. Almost all of their sandwiches can be made on the gluten free bun so you’re not just limited to burgers, but the burgers are fantastic! Staff knows what is and isn’t a risk contamination wise, and if they don’t know, they ask. Fries are gluten free but fried in a shared frier, so that’s up to you to indulge in, but the coleslaw and bean salad are gluten free. I will say though, if you get a normal size burger, it’s hard to even make a dent on a side. Also I think the patio area is dog friendly from what I saw last visit.

Great burgers! Limited to two GF sides but they have GF buns. The staff was knowledgeable about cross-contamination and what was safe to eat or not. The burgers were worth it

Burgers are not that great. They offer a Gluten Free bun but zero effort is made to mitigate cross contamination.

Fantastic burger, fresh hand pattied meat. Best in Wilmington. Also has gluten free buns!! Unfortunately fries are fried in same fryer so they aren’t friendly if sensitive. I tried, enjoyed them and paid the price. They do have a little 3 bean salad side option but its kind of small. Still worth it for the burger and gluten free bun! Lots of good toppings too.

Winnie’s is known for their burgers, but I have to say this is one of the best GF buns around. Doesn’t fall apart while you’re eating your food, and it’s a great size. This is a game changer when you’re wanting a burger!
They have impossible burgers too!
