Woodsby's Countryside Cafe

Although the people who work here are EXTREMELY friendly, this is NOT the place to eat if you are GF. Aside from a GF bun, nothing is marked and the servers have absolutely NO knowledge of the ingredients. To be safe I ordered just a salad with olive oil but they did not even have olive oil - only some unidentified oil that no one knew by name. I asked the server several times to inquire about ingredients in a couple of things but she returned to the table both times without any information. I asked for plain butter for my son’s biscuit and was given something labeled “whipped spread” which was 48 percent vegetable oil. STEER CLEAR if you are GF, but this is definitely your place if you want country style food with little to no nutritional value and unidentifiable ingredients.

This is your classic hometown breakfast and lunch diner, complete with sassy servers, very reasonable prices and huge portions. While they may not have a dedicated frier, they totally get GF. Waitress offered to substitute GF bun for biscuits and gravy, and my daughter said it was great, “way better than the English muffin at Denny’s.” Everyone’s good was great. Restaurant was very busy, apparently a favorite with locals. Great choice for breakfast any time or lunch (GF buns for burgers, etc).

Celiac friendly?

Wonderful local spot. Large omelettes, specialties of kielbasa, corned beef hash. Gf buns for lunch burgers. Quality food at reasonable prices. No gluten issues afterwards.
