They used to have a dedicated gluten free fryer which was amazing because I could get almost anything that went in the fryer. Now for the last year or so they haven’t been doing that anymore and put the chimichangas in the same fryer as the gluten free stuff. The tacos with rice and beans are gluten free and safe but I sure do miss being able to get croquetas and the chips and guac.

We have eaten here several times without incident but the most recent time my husband (celiac) got tagged with gluten. I am bummed cause I really liked their Tacos. Be advised that they don't have a dedicated fryer so the chips are not celiac safe.
Tamales at Thanksgiving were awesome with no cross contamination.

Staff is informed about the risk of cross contact for celiac customers. They do not have a dedicated fryer so avoid all fried food including chips. Chicken tacos were amazing! They also have cider options for those avoiding beer and fantastic mojitos.

At one point their food was dedicated gluten free, but now they don't have dedicated gluten free kitchen so it's not celiac safe anymore. I recommend you guys don't go if you have celiac.

I really get upset how many mixed signals I get about this place personally. One moment they will tell me they have a dedicated fryer and then the next time I come and they tell me that they don’t. Today I went in and they told me that they no longer did a dedicated fryer which I was fine with them letting me know but then the cook came out and told me they could do my food gluten-free and that they did have one. I took a nap and woke up and started getting so sick and having anxiety. This is ridiculous. Don’t even mark anything on your menu gluten-free if you’re not going to have a dedicated fryer or even put it on your menu that you do not have wine. I really wish they wouldn’t lie about things just to try to get extra money. Other than that the tacos are great and they will pan fry the pork belly for you.

No longer maintaining a dedicated gluten free fryer. Despite heavy “gluten free” markings on the menu, the only thing capable of being truly gluten free is the tacos. The tacos are good, but the vast majority of the menu remains off limits, including the chips.

Spoke with the manager and the fryer is not dedicated here. They put the flour tortilla chimichangas in the same fryer as the gluten free churros, taquitos, etc. The tacos are GF and they are AMAZING! They are willing to pan fry the meat in some tacos if you ask.

Amazing food, had a weird experience one time where we ordered the croquetas for takeout (marked gf on menu), and was told they weren’t gluten free and so we were unable to eat them...but later confirmed with the restaurant that they ARE indeed gluten free. Unsure why one worker told us they weren’t, but since then have eaten here multiple times without issue! The empanadas and barbacoa tacos are incredible.

Previously we had been told the croquetas weren’t gluten free; as it turns out she was misinformed. On our second trip we confirmed that they were gluten free and were in a designated fryer. Everything was delicious!

Amazing tacos - Barbacoa is to die for! Menu is 90% GF and per conversation with one of the bartenders this is a top priority for them. Check it out!!

Their dryer is now dedicated gluten free! Even the delicious croquetas and churros are safe to eat! More options than almost any other restaurant in Salem, a must for anyone gluten free or vegan/vegetarian.

Great food! Didn’t get sick! Had to educate the staff a bit due to cross contamination regarding no dedicated fryer. They were very accommodating and friendly. I only gave a four because if I wasn’t educated in celiac I could’ve gotten sick!

Excellent food and service! While there may not be the option to enjoy gluten free beer with your gluten free meal, the margaritas are wonderful and the whole experience in enjoyable for any guests who may not be strictly gluten free as well.

Their tacos are Celiac friendly & VERY delicious! They carry local ciders and have handmade corn shells and salsas. Highly recommend! Please note their fryer is not Celiac friendly.

I have enjoyed the food here numerous times with no issue. Their parent location is in McMinville and also great. No dedicated fryer but come for the tacos and a cider. You won’t regret it!
The tacos were amazing. Unfortunately, the other items marked gluten free were not gluten free but the chicken tacos made up for all of that! (Chips we’re not safe if you’re a sensitive celiac).
Very good food, special twist on Mexican cuisine. Staff knowledgeable about Celiac and so nice! Everyone here is nice including owners! I come here often and have never gotten glutened or sick. Cider available here.
