The staff here was absolutely wonderful and everyone on the line changed gloves when I mentioned that I was gluten-free! Absolutely no fault there. However, after eating my meal here, I got extremely sick and had some of the worst symptoms I’ve had after ever eating a meal anywhere else in Charlotte. Definitely not celiac safe, sadly. Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone with celiac.

Yafo is my FAVORITE fast casual restaurant. Practically all the menu is gluten free (and marked) including all meats and like 5 of 6 sauces. The staff members will change gloves and wipe down surfaces when I specify. It’s fresh, convenient, and overall delicious. Avoid pita, anything fried, couscous, and the one sauce and you should be good!

Two concerns: there is couscous everywhere. One vat of couscous was positioned so that to get to it, some could fall into the rice. Also, there is loose flour being used to make pita that could circulate all over the food.

Tremendous amount of options here. Have found a lot of the staff is not knowledgeable about gf, so ask for a manager if you have specific questions/concerns

All the meats are gluten free and a majority of the sauces and toppings are as well. I had a hummus bowl with chicken and it was pretty good. A lot of options and a lot of a food for your $

Delicious GF options. I love the shawarma chicken! Tip: I always ask for taziki sauce from the back - because they dip their spatulas in it to spread on the pitas. Just to be safe!

The staff doesn’t seem well trained on gluten free, BUT their meats are supposedly all GF and unlike regular assembly lines, they’re not layering the toppings onto anything gluteny. One person touches the pita to wrap it in foil and then all the toppings are put onto salad, rice or quinoa. I ate here out of the bins and had zero issues, whereas I cannot eat at Chipotle due to x contamination.
