Got breakfast (Breakfast Bowl) and the chef came out to review the menu so I knew what I could eat. Good portion, yummy!

Food was decent. I went here a lot before being GF, and their selections are slim compared to the regular menu. They have GF soy sauce. I had the sweet & sour chicken. My food didn’t come out with an allergy tooth pick, which was surprising for Disney. Didn’t get sick or have any issues.

Theme,service and food all good.
However for some reason they choose to remove the allergy pick before serving. We spoke with the manager and he said it was their policy because they are afraid people will eat the pick?
I was quite nervous to eat my meal because the only other time I ate a meal at Disney without a pick I was very sick.
Two managers assured me that I was safe and I was. However for my mental health I will request that they leave my pick on my meal if I ever go back again.
Just be sure to plan ahead and ask questions.

There is a gluten free menu but it is super boring compared to the regular offerings. I got the rice noodle stir fry with shrimp - the veggies tasted steamed and the only flavor was tamari. They had two g-free dessert offerings, which was unexpected. I got the chocolate cake. The cake was a bit dry but the frosting and filling were good. Everything was edible but I wouldn't go back.

I had a great experience at Yak and Yeti today. I ordered from their gluten-free menu, and had the lettuce wrap appetizer, grilled shrimp entree, and the strawberry/white cake dessert.

I ordered the sweet and sour chicken. I’m allergic to gluten and sesame and lactose intolerant. I told my waiter that cross contamination was a concern and he said he would make sure extra persuasions were taken. The first plate they brought out had sesame seeds on it and I let him know and he took it back and made it right really fast. I didn’t get sick and I really enjoyed it.

First off, this is NOT a Disney owned restaurant; it is owned by the Landry Group (same people who own Rainforest Cafe). Secondly, I didn't realize this and if I had, would not have eaten here. I have celiac disease and true allergies to soy and tree nuts. At Animal Kingdom I have a hard time finding food at a quick service because I also cannot eat meat as it triggers terrible migraines. So I normally eat soy free, gluten free, vegan. So I was happy when I asked a hostess at the Yak and Yeti if I could eat at the Cafe that she said yes - the chef will come out, take my order and take special precautions with my meal - just like the other Disney quick service locations. The chef made me seasoned vegetables and rice in it's own allergy container. I sat down with my husband and ate two bites of food - but almost instantly my stomach started cramping. I stopped eating, got myself a coke to hopefully help with symptoms (it normally will help with minor allergy symptoms), but 30 minutes later and I was feeling light headed, clammy and my tongue and entire bottom portion of my face was numb. Luckily I am okay after taking 2 courses of Benadryl, but with how much I reacted, I can only conclude that most likely my food contained a lot of an allergen. I normally do not leave bad reviews like this, but I want other people to also be cautious if they have allergies and are thinking about eating here. It is clear that the kitchen did not do what they needed to ensure my food was safe. I'm not sure how well that translates to safe food for celiacs either.

They had a separate menu for gluten sensitive. Very knowledgeable staff. Just note that there is no GF fried food here, they don't have a dedicated fryer.

An amazing dining experience! Told our server that I had an allergy and the chef came out to speak with me about my options off of the allergy menu. The chef was so kind- I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and he offered to coat the chicken in cornstarch and fry it in a dedicated fryer so I could have that "crunch" that regular sweet and sour chicken has. It was delicious!! Will definitely be back here again.

They had a gluten free menu with lots of options. They also had gluten free soy sauce! I really enjoyed my sweet and sour chicken and will definitely eat there again.

Most staff were not knowledgeable. Had to ask for allergy menu at least 5 times before someone located one. Took another 20 minutes for chef to appear, and when he did, acted like taking my order was huge inconvenience. Food was less than mediocre.
Chef speaks to you, very knowledgable, delicious, did not get sick, 6/5 stars if I could

Great experience! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about GF. The sweet and sour chicken was very tasty off the GF menu!
The house salad, along with tofu vegetable story was PERFECT!!! Jenna made the experience special. The chef came out and help make sure my meal was both gluten free and dairy free. MUST GO

Delicious meal! Chef came out and talked with me, advised what I could have. They have a gluten free menu as well! Everything was delicious!

A good-sized GF menu and a dedicated GF wok. Had the vegetable stir fry with chicken and felt fine. The portions are HUGE, so you may want to share. They even have a few dessert options.

Amazing! Complete gluten free menu. It's very busy during lunch so be sure to make a reservation. I had the yummiest veggie stir fry with rice noodles and no reaction.

Too much waiting even a Wednesday. Host aren't friendly but the rest of the staff is great. The chef will come to you and fix pretty much any dish. Ohh once you give your name to the host ask after a couple minutes how much wait you have still as they sometimes forget to put you down for a table even when they said they did put you down(we realized that the 20 min waiting got into 40 before we realized that

Love it here! Chef will help accommodate and can make many dishes gf. Delicious enough for us to come back twice this trip.
Food was just ok. Service needs improving. However the chef comes out to the table to talk about GF options. I was expecting a lot more at a Disney restaurant.
Even the quick serve had multiple options. I got the Korean barbq. Fantastic!

The executive chef came to the table to discuss menu options and was present when ordering to ensure the order was GF. Then brought the food out boosting confidence that it was the correct order. And the Food was tasty!! GF dessert available too
Server was really friendly and brought chef out to table, who was also super friendly and told me he could basically accommodate everything on the menu with some modifications. I got the lo mein with rice noodles and chicken, then flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Both delicious with no issues.
