Amazing restaurant with gorgeous view! I came from the beach so I was nervous when I pulled up that I wouldn’t be dressed appropriately (tank and shorts) when I saw it was valet parking only but it was fine.
It’s an upscale restaurant so you know usually that means the gluten free choices are better and that they typically have chefs who are very careful.
I ordered the burger with the blueberry salad. They advised the burger is grilled on the same grill as everything else so they will pan sear the burger for me.
The only reason I’m rating 4 stars is the homemade chips are made in a SHARED fryer and not safe , but they’re on the gf menu. And they were unable to substitute for a different side

Homemade gf rolls!! For pre-meal and also for burgers! I mean come on! Whole separate gf menu, too. We had martinis w gf vodka. homemade chips with warm blue cheese dip, Caesar salad, and shared a steak special with mashed and veg. Everything was top notch. We didn’t ask about sharped fryer so if that’s your issue be sure to ask. Best waitstaff ever. Highly recommend!

They had a gluten free menu but half of the items are fried and in a shared fryer. They were careful in the cooking but still made me nervous.

I had an excellent experience at Yellow Dog. Despite a very busy lunch crowd, our server was attentive. He was knowledgeable about the gluten free menu and was careful to avoid cross contamination. He even provided a separate serving of butter for me to use on my house made gluten free bread! The chef came to the table to be sure my meal was prepared correctly. Everything about my experience, from the menu to the service, to the food preparation, was wonderful.

The restaurant promotes GF and told me they take precautions against cross contamination. However, my husband's salad had croutons under all the lettuce so he wasn't aware of it until almost done with his salad (he has celiac). The waiter told us the person who prepares the salads had left and he didn't know anything more. We then knew the waiter did not know the meaning of cross contamination. Obviously, the waiter just pick out the croutons that were on top. The other issue was the restaurant smelled musty and old and there were fruit flies all around us. I finally swatted one on our table and the waiter left it there our entire meal!
