They were super helpful, note that the crab is artificial, so not GF. Was able to order some rolls and felt good after. Sake is all GF and was delish. They had GF Tamari but said they sometimes run out. FYI

Most of the special rolls have crab, tempura, and spicy fish mix, all of which are sus in my experience. However, the basic rolls are good, the nigiri is good, and they have Tamari. I didn't check the beer section, but the sake was good.

We had a wonderful experience with Yellowfinn today. The staff is very kind, friendly, and competent with gf orders!
I first called in asking if they had some gluten free sushi rolls. The employee let me know that all rolls can be made gluten free, and there is no extra fee (which is how it should be!) No online ordering, so I said we'd decide what we wanted and call back.
The online menu is pretty confusing when it comes to gluten free. We ended up selecting a "best case scenario" order of five rolls, with a few alternates if the ones we picked couldn't actually be gluten free. I called again and talked with a second employee who confirmed that all rolls can be made gluten free, and he offered to double-check the specialty rolls we wanted, anyway. I gave him my "best case" order and he went and made sure they could all be done gluten free for celiac. They could! As it turns out, they all can be made gluten free *if* they leave out the sauces. That was fine with us.
We ordered these rolls: Kiss of Fire roll, El Diablo, Philadelphia, Tuna, and Yellowtail. They were available to pick up 30 minutes later, just as the restaurant had told us. Our takeout containers weren't marked, but when we walked in an gave our name, the employee at the register handed us our order and said, "All gluten free!"
The rolls came with a side cup of wasabi and pickled ginger, but no other sauces. This is how they are able to keep them gluten free. We just used our own tamari. I'm guessing they have gf tamari for dine-in, but I don't know. I'm sure they'd be fine if you brought your own gf soy sauce packets to use with your meal.
The Kiss of Fire roll was fabulous. So much flavor, and if you squeeze some lemon juice into tamari, it's good sub for the ponzu sauce they left off.
El Diablo was very good, but definitely toned down without the sauce. It's only mildly spicy, but still very yummy. We considered adding gf sriracha, but decided not to. The other three rolls were inherently sauce-free, and they were great too (especially the yellowtail. Mmmmm).
We will 100% order from Yellowfinn again. As long as you go in knowing that they have to leave off any sauces for the sushi rolls to be gf, it's a great experience.
