A fine dining experience in The Yarra Valley, booking’s recommended. We had the set lunch and the menu was very clear. The menu lists gf along with nut free and dairy free. But there is no dedicated fryer so it still needs a conversation with wait staff around some options, like the croquette with the beef. The wait staff were knowledgeable about cross contamination so the conversation was easy.
I felt the menu had a lot of options for all tastes. The restaurant was a wonderful setting with beautiful open views across the countryside which enhanced the whole experience. If you choose to have lunch the $10 tasting option at the cellar door is complimentary.
I did have one problem that when the bread was delivered they gave me the wrong one, it was obvious to me as I was eating with my partner so I queried immediately as I could see it was the same. They apologised immediately, removed the entire plate and came back later with a gluten free option of a toasted piece drizzled with oil.
