I came here for coffee and stayed for the amazing food. Seriously. So delicious. When I asked about a gluten free fryer, the waiter confirmed they fry their gluten free food separately. However, after reading reviews on here, I checked with a second person, and he said they cook gluten free stuff separately if there’s an ALLERGY! I didn’t use the magic word. As far as safety goes… I guess we’ll find out. 😬

There's a bit of a language barrier. After thinking I made it clear about celiac and no cross contamination after seeing items in display case physically touching gluten items, our take out food came on a gluten roll. After getting a manager, it was made correctly. Make sure they understand when you order.

Despite having a lot of supposedly GF menu items, it doesn't seem like they have much procedures for avoiding cross contact nor any knowledge of cross contamination. I tried to ask several questions about cross contamination but the person at the front just kept either saying "yes" or repeatedly telling me the GF items were already labeled on menu. At one point he lied to me when he confirmed they had separate fryers for GF, and a lady working behind him walked past and said they only use one fryer and grease. If you're trying to avoid items that technically lack GF ingredients, it might be okay, but if you're looking for a place that is friendly towards celiac customers, this is NOT it. Also service felt a bit biased against me as no one came to take my order after I asked questions at the counter about GF, so I had to go up and order while I noticed they came to greet and ask other customers.

This is must when in Dallas. We always make sure to eat here. The tamale (hallaca) is an all time favorite. Their menu is very descriptive and I’ve always felt comfortable eating here even with all my food allergies.

The Cachapas here are amazing! Best I have ever had. They also have GF tostones which is very hard to find. Arepas was pretty good. Arepas TX has the better arepas in my option. Definitely worth a visit for some South American food.

This place is so good! A nice place to sit too.

They have GF items marked on their menu. Their arepas are amazing! The only bad thing is I ordered a salad once that was marked GF and it came out with a big piece of bread on it....so it made me suspicious of their menu so I always double check and make sure things are GF and have them list the ingredients to me.
