I was shocked by how flavorful the bowls are. I didn’t get sick, there were plenty of options, and the bowls are packed to the brim.

They are so good with making sure there isn’t cross contamination here! Most things are gluten free so I’ve never been too worried about it

The rice bowls are so good! And the meatballs are gluten free now! I get a rice bowl, meatballs, and teriyaki sauce. All but maybe 2 sauces are gluten free!

I come here once a week and have never gotten sick. It’s so nice to be able to eat out, you don’t get that option very often when you have celiacs

About 99% of the food here is gluten free. They take extra precautions if you let them know you have celiacs or intolerance. The only food I can’t eat here is the yakisoba noodles and the fried onions. The meatballs are gluten free now btw!! LITERALLY MY FAVORITE PLACE EVER

Almost everything is GF my son has celiac and has always had very good experiences.

I ordered the salad and loved it! I just couldn't eat the crispy onions or the meatballs. It has been a long time since I could eat out and actually order a gluten free Asian salad. All of their sauces are gluten free because they use gluten free soy sauce.

I got glutened as well. It's been a long time since I trusted a restaurant, but unfortunately this one cannot be trusted.

Celiac friendly?

No

I got glutened. I let them know my order was GF. I ordered a salad. No glove changes and my bowl is passed to different people down the line. I don't know if I will be back. Food was delicious though! I just hate ending the night sick :(

I must dispel the conflicting reviews: the meatballs are NOT gluten free lmao

They’re good about changing gloves if you ask them, most of the food is safe. They have a full allergen menu on their site https://www.zaoasiancafe.com/nutrition/

Most of their food is GF and they will tell you what is not. There may be some cross contamination but I have never had a problem. Love their bowls
