Review of Zia Maria Pizzeria Ristorante

We went there with our Celiac daughter. We chose this place because they had a big sign at the front, proudly saying that they have GF pizza and pasta. The sign was yellow and stood out - so that gave us a feeling they took it seriously.

All looked OK at first. When we wanted one of the salads that was marked GF, they explained that they currently don't have the GF version of it. That's OK - makes us feel they take it seriously. The GF pizza was fine, not jaw dropping, but good enough for my daughter to take the leftover with us. She also had a bite of their meatball appetizer (Polpettine, marked GF) and some salad (also marked GF).

BUT...

15 minutes after leaving the place, my daughter started feeling sick. She ended up throwing up all her dinner in a public restroom. Given the little she ate all day aside from that restaurant - there is no doubt that it was the food there that made her sick, and the symptoms were very much what happens to her when she's exposed.

We threw away the left overs, and will never return to this place again!
