Gluten Intolerant

Recently visited Nice, France. I found breakfast the most challenging meal. Some of the wonderful patisseries, where the rest of the family liked to eat (and who can blame them), offer yogurt, fresh squeezed OJ (jus d’orange presse), smoothies or fruit cups. But many have no GF options at all. Other than the breakfast bar in our hotel I found the best strategy was to find a GF bakery and keep a supply of my own bread. Any bakery with the name BIO is likely to offer GF options. Also, and safer for celiacs, the grocery stores have GF bread. I did find a few restaurants that offered lovely scrambled eggs which I enjoyed.

AndreaBeryl Thanks. I’m currently in Nice, not a fan of pastries or too much bread & I hate eggs & cheese! I think breakfast in our apartment is the way to go. Thanks for sharing! 1 reply
