I am historically trusting of 110 Grill, but tonight I was served four regular rolls after I informed and witnessed the server mark our tab with my allergy. The manager came by shortly after to drop off the apps and said “oh those rolls are not gluten free, do not eat those.” “Too late.”
When we told the server of his error upon his return, he told me that “I’d probably be alright” and it was his fault because he forgot our table had an allergy, but then also casually blamed the host for not giving us a GF menu which was very frustrating to here because that had nothing to do with the issue. When I told him I definitely was not going to be alright, the next five days are going to be hell, he said “well, I hope you feel better!”
The manager comped our meal, was apologetic and said to call in a few days and let him know how I was. But, I’ve learned my lesson and I absolutely will never eat anything there that’s not directly served to me by trained management again.
Don’t let your guard down just because they have a whole statement about being committed to serving safe food. There are still people on staff who think gluten is no big deal.
