the food was amazing not the best crust but still very good for gluten free pizza.

Had the meatball appetizer and chicken Yolanda with gluten free penne (a take on chicken Marsala). Both were pretty good. The meatballs lacked any presence of a gf breadcrumb and were kinda bland but the sauce was very good and made up for the lack of flavor. As for the chicken Marsala it was pretty good and the pasta was cooked without becoming mushy. Overall pretty good and had no reaction as a celiac. They also offered a salad instead of bread as a starter which was nice.

Traveling through from PA to NY we made a stop here. Excited to see the reviews and the menu in person I ended up going with the mozzarella sticks and pizza. The mozzarella sticks were the best I’ve had since going gluten free. Delicious and a great size serving for $10.00. The pizza on the other hand was meh. As I shared with my family you could smell the yeast in the dough and it tasted over mixed. I’ve had a lot of good gluten free pizza both frozen and out to eat and this one isn’t it.
Service was alright, waited awhile for water refills but they were all very kind. For me I’d go back for the mozzarella sticks and try the pasta.

Very good food and friendly service. Many options on the gluten free menu (last page of the regular menu), and they were careful to ask if all people at the table were gluten free.

Great food. Expansive GF menu!!! Dedicated kitchen area. GF food served on dedicated plates so no confusion!

Wasn't expecting breaded chicken for my GF chicken parm. Was so excited when it arrived. It was delicious! Same with the mozzarella sticks!! I definitely recommend this place.

Passing thru and found this place. More GF options than most. GF Mozz sticks were excellent. Service is excellent. Food was delicious.

I was very happy about the decently sized gluten-free menu!!! It's very hard to find an Italian restaurant that will give more than one substitute option and has genuine gluten free options!!! The mozzarella sticks were absolute perfection and I will definitely order from there again! I am not 100% sure about the safety measures since I ordered takeout, but I feel like they would be exceptional either way :)

Decent amount of GF options, pasta options aren’t the best it falls apart. They accommodated my dairy allergy but it was very basic and bland with minimal seasonings

Didnt see wings mentioned in the gluten free features! The Buffalo wings are AMAZING i can never find good gluten free wings anywhere!!! I believe you can order 6 piece or 12 piece. The gluten free pasta is also great and pasta dishes can be made gluten free. Great place will be going back

Love that they have so many items to choose from gluten free and that the staff seems very aware of the concerns of people with gluten sensitivity.

I’m a regular here and have been eating here for 3 years without any issues. They have a separate gluten free menu as well as a dedicated fryer! Love their chicken parm sandwich and fries!

Chicken. Parm is good. Mozzarella sticks and pizza are terrible. Tasted like chardboard and I felt sick after eating it. But no reaction from the chicken parm which I’ve had other times
Pizza is amazing! Bread on sandwiches is pretty good too!
Have been here multiple times and never had an issue.

Amazing food, great staff. They have great gluten free rolls, pizza and amazing pasta. They are very knowledgeable and careful about gluten free to the point where they have different color plates for gluten free items. Highly recommend
Fried food choices are excellent, very pricey, but good. Dedicated GF fryer. I'm personally not a fan of the pasta or pizza crust. The pasta is corn pasta which I do not care for, I prefer rice or a rice/corn mix. Love the GF chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks. Wish they offered GF garlic bread!
They mix gluten dishes near other meals.

Had the calamari which was cooked perfectly! It was bland, but the sauce more than made up for it. Broccoli Rabe was also very good. The pasta totally surpassed my expectations. All the food was tasty and the service was excellent as well. As for contamination issues in the past... efforts have been made to prevent that from happening again. They use color coded plates for gluten free dishes, have a dedicated fryer, and tge server was very knowledgable about which dressings might have trace amounts of gluten. I'm not hyper sensitive, so it's not an issue for me though.

mozzarella sticks are perfection, pasta tasted a little over cooked
UPDATE: last visit to Alfonso's we were served the regular calamari and not the gluten free. did not realize at the time (we just thought it was very good for gf) my sister was sick all night.
moral of the story always double check what they serve you. we told the server we had two party members with Celiac's and that did not make a difference apparently

Gluten free pizza here is AMAZING!!! Closest thing to real pizza I have found. I also love the chicken parm sandwich. I mean, a gluten free chick parm sandwich! Yum. Also love that I can get fried calamari and mozzarella sticks. That's so rare! Thanks, Alfonso's!
I love their GF calamari, but I was disappointed in their Chicken parm, you could tell it was frozen before it was deep fried.
Huge portions and great food.
Excellent mozzarella sticks!! Our first time here today and we were pleasantly surprised. Sandwiches too!!

They have a very extensive GF menu. Pasta was delicious! Generous portion too. The pizza crust was very thin and undercooked, but it was still very tasty and devoured by my 6 year old. No one has gotten sick, so we will be back!

Best gluten free Italian food ever! The only GF calamari I've seen, and it's amazing! Gorgonzola Chicken is my favorite! Must go!

Just ok. Glad there was something gluten free to eat, but it wasn't that good. More like, if your going out with other people who aren't gf, they'll like it a lot. Wouldn't just go there looking for delicious gluten free food.

I went based on others recommendations on this app. First off, they do have an extensive menu of GF items. My food, however, was not the best. The sauce for my eggplant parm tasted like ketchup. The eggplant itself was good, however, and almost made up for it. My daughters gf piZa had a pool of grease that made her dinner most unappetiIng. the price (125 for 4 entrees and two appetizers, no alcohol) was a bit steep for the quality. And our service was spotty. I would rather a smaller menu with better quality.
The quality of the food here is just ok. Nothing was memorable or seasoned particularly well. I've had the pizza, salads and pasta dishes but won't go back for more.
Nice big GF menu, chicken parmigiana that reminded me of being able to eat gluten, super tasty focaccia...even meatballs, pasta, pizza. Highly recommend to anyone and will be back!
I love the the GF menu here! The food is everything I have been missing, and so love. Their marinara is to die for! Now the big but ...after talking with one of the managers, a note of caution! He first started out by assuring me that great care was taken, then went on to say the pizza was done on the same surface as the non-GF pie. But they wiped down the counter... then it went into the same oven. My real concern came when he assured me they did have a dedicated fryer... unless it got too busy, then they needed it for the mainline food menu! I opted for the GF pasta, the safest bet, after that conversation, and it was indeed wonderful!
Ok, Alphonsos, love your food, BUT you are either going to play this one straight with those of us that need to have a gluten free menu, due to celiac, or you are not! I advise CAUTION!
I would love a reply from Alphonso's on this? (this would've been a 5 star review except for the above conversation!)

Best GF mozzarella sticks I have EVER had! Their fried calamari and penne vodka were very good as well. Will definitely be back

They made a mistake and gave my son regular pasta instead if gluten free. They were very apologetic but the damage was already done before. Be very vigilant because many different people are involved from waiters to servers
Was there for a holiday lunch today. I had a great GF chicken parm!! I was not even slightly jealous of my pizza eating colleagues.
Excellent pasta dishes !
