As a Type 1 diabetic with food sensitivities, it can be challenging to find a delicious and healthy dessert that won’t ruin my blood sugars. I have finally found it in All Purpose Cakes. These cakes are delicious with a new flavor combination each month. Each month I think I have found my favorite flavor and then the following month am blown away by the new cake they have created. The ingredients allow those who are gf, df and refined sugar free to enjoy a delicious treat without suffering the health consequences. These cakes can be shipped nationwide or I pick mine up at a lovely plant shop on 6th Ave, Jade & Co. (They are all made in a gf certified bakery off site)The mini cakes with tea in the afternoon, heaven!

Very dry and had an interesting texture. Frosting almost had a chalky taste & texture to it. Bitter after taste. Not fond of the pandan and coconut cake. $14 for a 3 inch cake. Not worth the price. Would not be ordering again.

I am a huge fan of these cakes!
They are very light and fresh in taste, and I find the flavors to be sophisticated. The level of sweetness just right for people who do not crave the overly sweet sugar rush. I personally feel refreshed after these treats. My personal favourite is lemon but pistacio and Earl Grey are defenitely competing for the 1st place.

Tried two of the “cakes.” They have an interesting texture, like they are freeze dried, very flakey and very dry. Frosting is as expected for low sugar cake. Flavor was ok, just overall not great. I suppose if I couldn’t have sugar this would have been a welcome treat. If you’re used to other GF cake and expecting a similar experience you might be disappointed.
